The sales representative mislead you and now the whole company is a scam? That rep should be held accountable for sure. Did the system not work? Was the equipment faulty? Was it not connected to central monitoring? How can an install of anything that works be a scam. If the cable guy gives you a free TV and then lies about the cancellation period, you still get cable, so it's not a scam. A scam would be that you did not recieve any service for the money provided or that the services was less than agreed upon. This seems not to be the case in your situation. So you were mislead, yes, but not scammed. How can a company that provides the service promised you and you agreed to pay for be a fraud? I't can't. I'm sorry you were treated poorly and even mislead, that seems to happen to me with the cable guy, pizza place, DMV (not to mention all other government activites), and especially with my cell phone company. Are they all frauds? Not last I checked.
