No one who attacks and threatens small children is a lady, just like no one who rapes and beats women is a man. I hope you are trolling but in these days we never know.
So the child told the employee that you are not his mother and they did not give him to you, even though you kept insisting you were his mother. I should hope not. Just because you claim to be his mother does not make it true. How would like it if you told them your child was lost, and some pedophile or other sicko claimed to be the father and took him and they did not stop him based on his word?

Why should she have the child taken away from her? Because she lost him? If you were going to take a child from every parent who lost their child at a store or someplace else you would be taking more than half the kids in the world. Children have the tendency to run off if they are bored or interested in something else. However the guideline that they said when I was training to be a Scout leader was children under the age of sevenshould be with a parent at all times. This means holding the parent's hand or in a shopping cart when shopping. Children between 7-10 should be closely supervised. Children 11 and over are allowed to have freedom, but should always tell a parent where they are and when they will be back. Now if both parents left the store without the child, or if they kept paging and the parents did not respond than yes they are bad parents. But children get lost everyday and with the code adam are usually found within 5-10 minutes. If not the police are called.
As for the OP, Code Adam was created because of a six year old boy named Adam Walsh was abducted and murdered after being kicked out of a Sears store by a security guard. He was watching four teenaged boys play a video game. Two white, two black. They started arguing, thinking Adam was with the white teens he was asked to leave with them. He was then kidnapped, and killed. The code Adam is to prevent kidnapping and help find a child quickly. They are not about to give a child to anyone who claimed to be the parent or what is the purpose of code Adam. You should be relieved they did not give you your son based on what he said and the fact that your husband told them he was lost.
