I took my business elsewhere and have been very happy since. Smaller, local credit unions have a vested interest in their memberships' satisfaction. I suggest you open an account with one. If you owe NFCU money, pay them off and get them out of your hair forever.

From my experience the NFCU call center is a taxpayer-subsidized source of harassment. When I say "taxpayer subsidized", I am alluding to the fact that the local government paid NFCU quite a bit of taxpayer money to build their call center.
So, basically you are broke and have no money, but local governments have money to spend on call centers where they can call and harass you 7 or 8 time a day.
