First, I think a better gauge for filing complaints would limit one person to one complaint. Having the same person post complaints over and over again under different names does not give the public a clear picture of what transpired. The customer had communicated that she lived outside city limits which was not the case. We are bound to collect the proper tax depending on the customers address. In response to the the car requiring any work after the sale, the customer took the car to their mechanic before purchase and understood the condition of the vehicle. And decided the price was good enough that the repairs could be done at a later date with her own mechanic.

Consigning vehicles is always a tough situation for a dealer. Trying to consign a vehicle to help a customer out based on that customers payoff is also another challange. Sometimes people believe their vehicle is often worth what their payoff is. This usually is not the case, especially with dramatic market forces at work like fuel prices. Sometimes the reward to the dealer for helping a customer trying to sell a vehicle for several thousand dollars more than what the market is can be frustrating. We continue to do it in special occasions because the advertising that a dealer can spend dwarfs a individuals effort in selling their own car.
