You are correct about the headrails from hillarys Blinds. I have delivered thousands of the things. They come in from China in containers in individual boxes and are already made in 1 centimetre ingrements. The warehouse in Washington (tyne and wear) is stacked full of them. I have hade one fitted in my house they are total rubbish. They look cheap compared to the old one they fitted a couple of years ago, they are noisey and they are not the size of my window. The advisor measured my window at 145.5cm wide but the blind is only 144. This is not made to measure is it. I queried this with hillarys an they told me they knock 10mm off to allow for fit, but they have knocked 15mm which means i have a bloody great gap at one end. Awful company, awful service and awful headrail. ADVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Hillarys are an awful company. After having some verticals fitted incorrectly and finally giving up I contacted another local company called Bob The Blindman which incidently is run by a bloke called Bob. He sent a fitter called Alan out the next day, who sorted the problem out in 20 minutes and charged me nothing. I ordered more blinds there and then with the fitter. They arrived in 10 days were fitted perfectly and the blinds were cheaper too!.
