Couldn't agree more, I've been burned too on bad home inspections. The report is a critical indicator on how the inspection was conducted and to what depth.
I've finally found a great home inspection company in the Tampa area - Pristine Home Inspections. I've never seen a better, more comprehensive report than theirs. Very satisfied now after paying for some so-so inspections by other companies over the years.
