'Hidden fees'? All of Cox's fees are advertised, if you were guaranteed free install, but changed your order when the tech got to your home, you're liable for those charges. PS: Your calls do not wait on hold, despite what many ###s like you think---we do not keep calls in queue, we have no control over when we receive a call or not. I worked for Cox for 3 years, I know what I'm talking about a lot more than you do.
I agree with the reply, your on demand service is the first affected when your account is past due. If you want your services to work, pay your bill.
It was not malicious hacking. You do realize that your box is your responsibility & whether or not you want to believe it, those movies were ordered from your box. When we credit your account, we LOSE money...we have to pay for those services to the broadcasters.
Agree with the last poster, all it takes is a simple copy of a death certificate & the account can be closed. That's it. You were informed of it, but chose to ignore it. How can Cox know that your parents are deceased if you refuse to bring in records indicating it? Kind of silly, right?
Disagree completely with this statement, 'acting' like a supervisor? We have several kinds of supervisors on duty, nobody 'acts' like one. Perhaps you spoke with one, but didn't receive a credit or free service like you probably wanted, so you decided to believe that your rep lied to you.
Whatever happened to the customer is always right? I'm glad it's gone. Cox is not sneaky, we only ask that you provide bank statements to our payment research department. That's it. If you send those in, the problem can be solved quickly. It sounds like you didn't want to comply, only wanted a refund without any proof.
