I had the same thing happen in Springfield, Mo. Get this...called them up and they would not handle the issue over the phone. Whatev...so I'm traveling the next week and stop in the airport, show them my receipt they remove the charge and say we took care of it. Ok, how about sorry Mr Preffered Customer that you had to go through such a hassle over our mistake. Then the smart ### kid in charge behind the counter said well, this doesn't really prove anything, we're just giving you the benifit of the doubt. Avis if you even cared at all, which obviously you don't because of another issue in extending a rental for a few day call you lost preffered customer.
