I agree. The house I live in is only 9 years old, the doors and windows are by Peach Tree. The windows leak like a sieve. I literally get ice forming around the top of the frames - - without the shades down, and when the wind blows hard it will actually blow the shades around. It as if you have a fan pointed at the windows. The windows in my lower level have delaminated from the frames and the tilt out mechanism no longer works. As for the doors, they leak too (although not nearly as bad) and the locksets are simply horrible. They stick - the bolts won't return properly so you end up having to move the handle half a dozen times to get them to work properly. Now the french door handle onto the patio simply broke! It moves up and down but does not move the bolts. The replacement lockset is over $200! For windows and doors to be in this bad of shape so quickly is simply PATHETIC! In my old home I had Pella windows and doors. The did not leak and work perfectly. I am going to be replacing these appallingly bad Peach Tree units with either Anderson, Pella or another manufacter who understand the meaning of pride in manufacturing. Peach Tree - you should be ashamed!
