You wrote " And as far as the slaughter buyers go, i am so glad that they take the time and trouble to at least try to find homes for the horses they get that do ride as they all deserve homes too!" And your reply is expected from an "associate" of the Aicheles.
Kill buyers don't buy horses from auctions to try and find good homes for them. They buy them by the pound and sell them for slaughter. Unless of course they are the Aicheles who buy horses from the most deplorable auctions in the US for cheap. Then they haul them back to NYS within hours, offer them for sale cheap within days of their arrival for a quick turn-around-profit. When they fail to sell, even after dropping their prices, they haul them right on back to the New Holland, PA horse auction- not caring if they were sold to kill buyers for slaughters. You sign your name ANON. Is that because you can't spell the word "anonymous "?
I'll tell you what I have done to help an auction horse... I bought McGoo from the Aicheles who bought him from an auction- yet told me BOB drove and bought him DIRECTLY from a "well known" horse trainer in South Dakota which was a LIE. I had to REHAB him from all the abuse and neglect he suffered while in their "care".
Horse lovers don't buy from the lowly auctions the Aichelels do because that only keeps them in the meat selling business. As an advocate for animals, I encourage people to ADOPT pets from the humane society or county run shelters to save millions of animals yearly from euthanasia, an epidemic in our country, instead of buying from private breeders (puppy mills as an example). If a person is going to buy a horse from an equine establishment, it should be a well known one and respected in the industry with references on hand. I should have done my homework on Family Equine before purchasing a horse from the Aicheles. They stand for EVERYTHING that I am against with regards to animal exploitation and killing. Their God Bless this and that, Bible scriptures they posted, and "we are Christians" sucked me in.
Hey lady, shut the F' K up. You "cared" about what I paid to my trainer? LOL Your comments posted on this board were far from friendly. You're an associate of the Aicheles, this is quite obvious as you are desperately making a case for them - kind of like a defense attorney only more ignorant. You're another one with diarrhea of the mouth, maybe you are BOB Aichele writing as an alias or CJ for that matter. Thats another LOL.
I provided you with the website URL so you could copy and paste it into your browser and read all of the complaints that were posted on this board with regards to the Aicheles by other people. They had worse experiences than I did. You are only reading what you want to and most of it goes in one eyeball and out the other without processing it in your brain. But, here it is again. If you don't know how to copy and paste it into your web browser- type it in as you see it but do it quick before it goes out your other eye.

My horse is home now and I am delighted with how he turned out. He is safe, sane, and TRAINED to RIDE outside of an arena.
Yeah, his reputation is his support of horse slaughter and to continue to send them out of the us so he can make blood money. the internet is full of rantings and ravings of the mighty cj oakwood. now thats a reputation.
Barack obama for president!
You are a coward for not signing your real name. Just another one of the Aicheles associates hiding behind their computer. Seeing as how you think we are all troublemakers go and copy and paste this into your web browser or type it in exactly as shown: You will see a list of complaints against the Aicheles & Family Equine.
http://www.complaintsboard.com/?search=family+equine
If they were so great, there would be letters of recommendation for people to consider buying horses from them- not complaints. They have probably sold over 1000 horses over the past 10 years - yet have only a few reference letters that they recently posted on their website.
This is only ONE board where people have posted complaints against the Aicheles.
I am the person who bought the horse that was ridden by a kid in an arena round and round in circles. BUT, the Aicheles advertised this horse heavily on various internet websites to include their own and I bought him as a dead broke road safe trail horse among other things. They also told me that Robert drove to South Dakota and purchased my horse Directly off the ranch from a well known trainer. I later learned that Robert bought my horse from an auction and blatently lied to me as to where he bought the horse. I have a picture of my horse from the auction catalog itself.
I bought my horse sight unseen from these people based on internet advertisements they posted on the horse, old photographs, etc. Buying a horse sight unseen is common in the equine industry- which I would never do again after this fiasco. Robert delivered my horse to me in very neglected condition. He was NOT broke to ride outside of an arena and was very dangerous. I did NOT buy an arena horse from the Aicheles, but bought what was advertised to be a dead broke road safe trail horse which he wasn't. Does that make sense to you? I telephoned the person who owned the horse from birth and he told me that my horse was only ridden in a small arena by his son. THATS IT. He never rode on a trail, down a road, competed, roped cows, none of what they advertised. They only wanted my horse returned to them AFTER I had sent him out for professional training- which by the way, Robert and Lorraine advertised on their website that Robert was a natural horsemanship trainer which was a load of bull. My horse has come back after almost 10 months of professional training by a trainer certified by John Lyons.
Everyone who has complained about the Aicheles has the right to do so as consumers. I sent all of the proof of the Aicheles false and misleading advertising regarding the horse I bought from them to the AG. Do I want them to reimburse me for the training fees which I never should have had to pay? NO. But the AG needs to see that they posted false and misleading advertising under Penal Law Article 190.20 - Internet Advertising.
FYI Ranch horses do not wear tie downs nor do barrel racing horses who compete in world events.
Quite frankly, I have moved on. I did what I promised the Aicheles what I would do once my horse came home from training, send the Attorney General proof of all their lies and deceipt. Hopefully, they have changed and will realize that honesty is the best policy.
You are 1, 000 % right, I should never have bought a horse sight unseen from anyone, let alone Robert and Lorraine Aichele. I am trusting to a fault and got the rug pulled right out from under me by 2 liars who knew they had a "live wire" interested in buying McGoo.
I have ridden horses my entire life to include a race horse right off the track at the age of 10 "by myself". I am a very experienced horse woman and am not afraid of any horse. I have owned horses for 3o years and ride almost daily. The horse I bought from the Aicheles was very loving and gentle. BUT, he was not a dead broke bomb proof road safe trail horse as they advertised him and sold him to me as. I could have done what most people do and got rid of the horse. Instead, I took responsibility and sent him out for professional training for close to a year. He bucked in the round pen for 3 months straight. What does that tell you? I have no idea why you are fighting with me in particular when there are worse complaints against Robert and Lorraine Aichele posted on the internet to include persons who got serious injuries. You obviously didn't take the time to copy the link I gave you to read all of the complaints on this board alone. YWhatever.
You don't know anything about me. God gave me a gift with animals. I have been an animal rights activist from the time I was a child. At the age of 3 I chose a paralyzed kitten out of a litter instead one that could walk. He could only walk with his front legs and his back legs were paralyzed. My Bootsie. I can walk up to a wild animal- any wild animal- and pet it or pick it up. Yes, thats true and you can turn me into the DEC if you want to. I have stopped my car to pick up stray pitbulls- one hit by a car. He could have bit my head off but instead trusted me and let me help him and get him vet care. I have picked up so many stray animals over the years we have all lost count. I have even stopped and helped a deer that had been hit by a car in the middle of a freezing winter night. She kept on standing up and sitting down. I finally decided to put her in the back seat of my car and bring her home. I stood over her and she let me drag her into the back seat of my sport car and back out the driver side. She sat up like a dog and from what people have told me - she could have killed me. I took her out of my car the same way and put her in a stall, stayed with her all night until she passed away. She was strong and could have easily attacked me at any time. Does that sound like a person who is nervous or scared around horses? LOL? I ride nightly with at least 40 herd of deer who have accepted me as one of the herd - to include a buck as big as a horse. My husband and I are Vegan which means we don't eat or use animal products to include cheese, eggs, or milk. God created animals to be treated with love, kindness, and respect. They don't bother us. Yet, humans feel the need to harm and exploit them. I can't even kill an insect, thats the depth of my deep respect that I have for all living creatures. If you read the Bible, God specifically forbids the killing of animals and created them before humans. People were told to be stewards of the earth and all living creatures, but instead have done the oppositie. Read Genesis 1: 29: God says "And look! I have given you the seed-bearing plants throughout the earth, and all the fruit trees for your food. And I've given all the grass and plants to the animals and birds for their food". That is on Page 1 in the bible and I will do what God says anyday. The bible is full of scriptures on how it is a sin to harm or kill any living creature. Jesus never killed or harmed an animal! I have been rehabbing and saving animals for over 40 years. My farm is named "Shelley's Dream Farm" - which it is. People will stop in front of our farm because they are in awe of how my farm animals roam free on our property and never leave.
Tie downs are NOT used in world class barrel racing events. They are NOT used on working ranch horses either. Cowboys don't have the time to put a saddle on let alone a tie down used to control a horse. Enough said, ... you, the Aicheles, CJ, and everyone else they are associated with live in different worlds. I choose to live in a peaceful one. It is so against my nature to fight with people but when it comes to animals, or Civil Rights issues - I will help in any way that I can.
I wasn't going to get involved but since they called me a "crazy lady" who can't ride a "stick horse" on YouTube- guess it was time for me to post most of my evidence. Its not all there yet, but it will be. For the record Lorraine and Robert, I did NOT turn you in for animal abuse numerous times as you stated on YouTube. That must have been someone else because I was told someone takes pictures from the cemetary next door to your farm.I don't live near your "ranch" so how would I know what goes on there? I have no idea where Groton is except that its over 100 miles away.
You still haven't shown videos of McGoo being ridden outside of an arena with the exception of a picture I found and posted on Myspace. McGoo was being ridden by some fat ### with his inflamed and swollen knee with so much harsh tack and a short and I mean SHORT tie down. Sure, hes trail safe when hes ridden LAME. The pictures and documents that I have posted DON'T LIE. If anyone wants my website link - email me. Maybe this will end all of this nonsense and we can all move on. You sold me a horse in neglected condition, I have pictures posted.. move on. You sold me a horse that was only "arena trained" and not a "finished " dead broke road safe bomb proof trail horse as you advertised, so what ... move on. You sold me a horse that you said you bought "directly" off the ranch of a private seller when you really bought him at an auction- so what again... move on. I have. But if you continue to taunt me and blame me for all of these complaints, I will post my website on the Google and Yahoo pay per click search engines for all to see.
Here's my website at Myspace.com - which backs up every bit of evidence I complained about.
http://www.myspace.com/imadown2earthgirl
It is not done yet but I will be adding a LOT more.
The Aicheles have shown a couple of videotapes on YouTube trying to pass off a pony as McGoo. Not only do I have their Whinny.org advertisement of the 12.2 hand pony they had up for sale with McGoo in 2007, but I also have his photograph directly UNDER McGoo's. They are both bright red chestnut with almost the same facial markings. I saved the photograph because it showed 2 horses - Cutter & Donut- tied to a trailer who were extremely thin and underweight. They have no idea what I have as evidence.
It was so obvious on the YouTube videotape that a small kid was riding a small pony, and not McGoo. Just more lies that are going to be exposed.
They are so unprofessional as a business to post such degrading remarks on an internet website, calling me a "crazy lady" and that I am "delusional" and need "Paxil". Lorraine and Robert Aichele work full time for NYS in a halfway house caring for mentally ill children. It is obvious that they stigmatize the mentally ill if they post remarks like that. I have saved their remarks to PDF which will be posted. Who the HELL in their right mind would want to do business with people who call former customers CRAZY aka: Mentally Ill.
PATHETIC.
Here's a few comments Family Equine horse dealers Robert and Lorraine have posted about me on YouTube. They keep changing it daily around like they do their website. This is from two people who work for the state of NY in a halfway house with mentally ill and mentally disabled children. They supposedly run a camp for mentally disabled people. Not only are their comments demeaning and degrading, they discriminate against the mentally ill and mentally handicapped. They can say all they want to me, but their comments poking fun at the mentally disabled is going a little too far. And they post bible scripture on their website and have crosses hanging off their horses?

I am sure there will be more. If that WAS McGoo dated July, 2007 - he must have shrunk 8 inches or was 200 lbs underweight OR that must have been a HUGE 7 year old kid on him. People can see the pony next to the adults and he is tiny. LOL
I didn't discredit his "cough cough" - "character." He did that all by himself. If Congress closed down the last horse slaughterhouse in the United States due to animal cruelty, what does that say about C J Oakwood, who cried like a baby about it? His ranting and ravings he wrote say it all. Why doesn't CJ contact me himself instead of you BILL? What is he going to do when he can't send horses out of the US to be slaughtered in Mexico and Canada anymore? That law will be passed in the very near future too. Guess his "easy money "gravy train will be over.

I have added a lot of VIDEOS of McGoo when he was delivered to me on my MySpace website as well as a tape recorded telephone conversation I had with Bob Aichele on June 25th, 2007. Lorraine- you may like to hear how BOB lovingly described you. There are also videos of Bob and Lorraine when they were at my farm. Guess they never saw the security cameras. They were either too busy lying or too busy beating the ### out of McGoo. There are also videotapes and pictures that the Aicheles former employees and customers have sent me posted.

If people really want to see the characters of Lorraine & Family Equine go to:
Go to my Myspace page @ http://www.myspace.com/imadown2earthgirl
There you can see all of the evidence that I have compiled against the Aicheles when I bought a horse from them last year. THEY have continued to harrass me for one year straight because I stood up to them. I took photographs of everything, to include comments they posted about me on YouTube May 2008, which they took down. Guess they want to "look good" in the eyes of those who are watching them regarding Patchwork Riding Center- which I know NOTHING about.
Anonomous:
You said: " Robert and Lorraine Aichele buy these horses from large sales all around the U.S "
Thank you, thank you, thank you ... for letting everyone know what liars and cons Robert & Lorraine Aichele have been for SO long until I and so many others FINALLY EXPOSED them.
The Aicheles advertised for over 7 years that they bought all of their SALES horses from private owners or hand picked them right off a cattle ranch.
They lied to me from DAY 1- telling me they bought my horse directly off a private seller's ranch in South Dakota- only for me to find out they bought him at an AUCTION.
All of the advertisements they placed ON THE INTERNET - that THEY WROTE AND POSTED- All LIED and said they bought my horse directly from a well known horse trainer - Terry Moody.
They also EMAILED ME - full of all their lies and ###. I have a 45 Minute TAPE RECORDED Conversation with Robert Aichele LYING ASSING over and over that he bought my horse right off a cattle ranch. Not only did that conman deliver me a 100 lb underweight, anemic, and dehydrated just turned 4 year old, covered in scars, wounds, swollen knees, an injured head, and a hoof so long it curled upwards, with feet that turn outward like Charlie Chaplin because of the tie down they used on him when they rode him into the ground - he delivered me a horse that was ARENA TRAINED ONLY- not a dead broke bomb proof trail and road safe horse he advertised and I bought sight unseen. Don't believe me? Then get onto my website where I have posted EVERYTHING for the entire universe to see.
Obviously, the Aicheles must have been ASHAMED to let potential customers know where they bought their horses for re-sale- so they LIED. They also posted on their website that ROBERT was a horse trainer and trained with methods similar to Frank Bell and Monty Roberts. IN HIS DREAMS. He is a major wannabe. Still don't believe me? How about you EMAIL me and I send you every ### bit of evidence I have- to include the Credit Card Dispute I filed against them. I will be more than happy to let you see how big they are into using WHITE OUT on documents they submitted to the CC company.
Now I've read that the disabled riding center they have operated for years on end doesn't even have hot water or a public restroom. Maybe the DOH should take a look around to make sure the outhouse or the portapotty on their property is not hazardous to anyone's health who uses it. If a NFP agency gets funding from the State to operate a riding center for handicapped persons, then it better be a clean environement. One phone call to the DOH so keep it up. I closed down an entire restaurant franchise with ONLY ONE PHONE CALL.
PS
my website:
http://www.myspace.com/imadown2earthgirl
PS Grotonite: Interesting about not Patchwork Therapeutic Riding Center not having hot water or any handicap accessible public restrooms at a NFP riding center for the disabled. Are they receiving funding from NYS? I certainly hope they are not having their riders use a portapotty or an outhouse - because they would be in major DEEP ### with the DOH. Just a thought- Grotonite- since you know more about Patchwork than I do. I closed down an entire restaurant franchise with only ONE PHONE CALL to the DOH.
This says it ALL:
This picture was on www.horse-riding.net. Copy and paste into your web browser.
Robert Aichele is abusing a 2 week old calf, IF THAT. Notice how fired up he has his horse forced to gallop right behing this baby calf who is only "walking". Probably because hes exhausted and weak. Look at the tie down he uses on his horse - IN AN ARENA- choking out a baby calf. WOW How impressive BOB. No abuse goes on at their farm, though.
The Aicheles named the photograph - Hot Rod "playing". Yeah, blame it on the horse.

Evidence against the Aicheles at www.myspace.com/imadown2earthgirl
***Today, July 3, 2008, is 1 year to the date that Robert Aichele delivered McGoo to me in grossly neglected condition (cuts, abrasions, swollen knees, neglected feet, etc). Today, McGoo had his annual PE Wellness Exam by my Vet.
Now that the bloody cuts and abrasions on the insides of his knees have healed, my Vet noticed numerous straight scars consistent with a prior surgery probably done to correct his poor confirmation and would have been done as a foal. She showed me where the screws would be if consistent with all of the straight scarring. She has scheduled McGoo for a digital Xray on July 31, st that will confirm whether he had a previous surgery and the digital Xrasy will show the screws in place. He has gained exactly 200 lbs in the past year and weighs 940 lbs (740lbs day of arrival). She said due to his knee deformity and poor confirmation, McGoo cannot ever have a heavy rider on him and that my weight of 115 lbs is perfect for him and will not damage his legs. After showing her a picture of Lorraine riding McGoo, she stated he should never have been ridden with such a heavy weight on his back, especially when he was underweight and dehydrated. I showed her the slide show the Aicheles have posted which certainly confirms animal abuse to include a picture of a horse they have up for sale at the moment AQHA Watch Josie Bar. "Josie" JUST turned 3 on May 10, 2005 and is also about 200 lbs underweight as McGoo was last year YET Lorraine is riding her and they are using her as a camp and lesson horse and more evidence of animal abuse. They even admit they bought her from a drought state - Illiniois (probably CJ Oakwood). The other mare they have up for sale and ridden by Lorraine for over 1 year- Trixie- failed her frontal Flexion exam and the Aicheles reduced her price by $1, 000. This is a lame horse they are selling - stating on Horsetopia NOT SOUND. Yet on their website, they don't mention that at all and state that she can compete, rope, barrel race, basically do it ALL... A HORSE THAT FAILED HER FLEXION EXAM.
****Here is the write up from todays exam. It will be posted on my Myspace page next week. On July 31st or a few days after, McGoo's digital Xrays and results will be posted, as well.
History: Bought from internet last year. At arrival was in poor condition- feet neglected-underweight- had swollen knees at purchase etc. Shelley changed diet and care and he has thrived. Noted confirmation of knock knees and toe out.
Bilateral carpus valgus, probrably from birth with the left leg worse than the right. Scars on distal medial aspect of radius bones bilaterally from previous trauma or possible from previous surgery to correct carpal valgus.
10% reduced range of motion of right knee, 20% reduced range of motion of left knee. Both hocks have slightly curbed appearance.
Well fed and healthy coat. Content and calm. Despite the crooked leg confirmation is not lame.
Radiographs of knees to be performed to look for evidence of prior surgery or osteoarthritis associated with scars. Most of the issues in his legs are in his upper limbs and it is unlikely that corrective shoeing will change these.
Due to the untimely passing of ...Shelley has switched farriers and Esco Buff will be taking over the work.
BTW Esco Buff is WORLD renouned and as expensive as hell but my horses are worth it.
So here is my update 1 year later.
Happy Anniversary

Bill Hunter,
you need to learn how to use a computer and do an internet search. Go to Google, type in C. J. Oakwood and many of his editorials he wrote in support of Horse Slaughter are put up on the internet. They didn't magically write themselves and they didn't magically post themselves on Google.
C.J. Oakwood wrote them and C.J. Oakwood made his own reputation in support of HORSE SLAUGHTER. He does business with Family Equine aka: Lorraine & Robert Aichele
Bill, you're either in denial or you have your head way up your ### - one or the other - take your pick.
Here they are verbatim:

C.J. Oakwood wrote on Feb 13, 2007 9:50 AM:
" Our politicians have not a clue what is going to happen to the equine industry and the welfare of horses IF WE BAN THE PROCESSING OF HORSE MEAT FOR EXPORT. .
The ANIMAL / TREE HUGGERS in this country need to find another planet to live on before they ruin this one.
FOR ALL THOSE " HORSE HUGGERS"... what are you going to do with these animals if we cannot dispose of them?
I PERSONALLY THINK WE SHOULD HAVE HORSE MEAT AVAILABLE AT THE IGA! If anyone thinks hitting a deer with your vehicle is a bad deal...try hitting a horse that has been turned loose by its owner...you will probably die...seat belt on! "

I would appreciate whatever you can send me or anyone else out there. I am surrending him to the ASPCA this week as well as transferring ownership so they will be the legal owners on his AQHA registration papers. They have been turned in to the ASPCA before, and they are getting turned in again by ME with McGoo in the flesh as EVIDENCE. They sold a horse to the wrong person - a MAJOR BIG MOUTH animal and civil rights activist who will not back down when a wrong has been done to an innocent living being.
And a SPECIAL THANKS to Family Equine's own Ring Master Extrordinaire aka: SHADY LADY @

The ASPCA picked up McGoo this morning September 3, 2008. I gave them all of my evidence against Robert & Lorraine Aichele of Family Equine. Although, as they put it, McGoo's numerous scars and permanently swollen knees were enough evidence. Because of his back problem, he drags his back feet when he walks now. It is very sad but hopefully they can help him. I really want to thank the people who used to work and volunteer for the Aicheles, their customers, residents who have dealt with them, those who have sent me pictures and many letters to support my claim against them.
When I get copies of all of the paperwork from the ASPCA, each and every bit of evidence will be posted on Myspace.com.
Enjoy your new home McGoo. You are in the right place - finally.
