I attended the hair program in September 2011. I was hoping for one of the best experiences in my life but that is not how it really ended up. I should have done my research so its partially my fault. First of all I hated the schedule because you go for nine hours a day. that is not including travel time to get there and back from home. its a school for hair not Harvard, shouldn't have to attend that long. but that was the least of my worries. the instructors knew the business but were not good at teaching it to students. they were very rude to me and some other students. they would embarrass one right in front of the whole class or salon and think it was funny. it happened to me several times with the same instructor-Ty. She was so rude to me and did not make my day any better. A french lady who worked there made a student cry. On one occasion my Color instructor stood at the front of the class and said 'If you cannot understand the color wheel right away drop out, drop out now because it just gets more hard'. If we are paying $30, 000 to learn at that school do not say stupid things such as that give me encouragement! If you are 5 minutes late for your class they make you wait in the hall until the next break. which can be 2 hours of lost time and you can only miss 40 hours in the whole year. it sucks especially if you rely on public transit. The people there act like they know everything. they truly don't. i have a lot more to say but I rather not. do your research before applying.
