Went to Prestige to look at vhicles on 6/27/10. Looked at a used 08" Altima Hybrid. Put down $100 hold and filled out paperwork for a credit history check. Vehicle had minor problems and would all be fixed on 6/30 by 3pm. On 6/30 @ 3pm we went by because we hadn't received any feedback from them at all and we were told the Altima wasn't fixed yet. We were not happy and left. On 7/01 my wife went to to get back our $100 hold and was told she would not get it back and that she owned the vehicle! We were shocked because we had no paperwork for anything. No bill of sale, or titles, no trade in done, and never gave the $3, 000 down payment.Nothing was done!I received a threatening phone call at work stating that I owned the vehicle if I liked it or not! We found out about Carfax and looked them up and they have a bad repuation for doing shady business.We feel they are trying to fraudulently trap us into buying their vehicle and they can even keep the $100, we just want them to leave us alone. I hunted down the bank they do business with because Prestige told me they ONLY do ONLINE banking and did not have their phone number. The bank told me they had no such account under any of my information. After telling them my story they said that they never heard of such a thing! They said they are sorry for the stress I am having and that I do not have any loan or any other account with them. What kind of shady business is this?! I have never experienced anything like this in my entire lfe! Well, I am a force to be reckoned with because I am no sucker. So beware of Presige Auto Mart and don't let them try and take YOU for a ride!

Worst place to buy a car they don't stand behind nothing. I finally got my truck fix at the gmc dealer. I would recommend no one to go to that s*** hole

I completely agree with everything! Written in this website! I too was taken for a ride with prestige! Bought a vehicle for my daughter. Didn't pass inspection! That should have been my first clue! Multiple, multiple, multiple problems with the car. They basically put a bandaid on it u t my warranty ran out. So a have to worry about my daughter, every day, driving this piece of ### car! I tell EVERYONE I come in contact with! Family friends, co workers! To NEVER! Buy a vehicle from prestige! Run the other way! I'm one of 6 children and my husbands one of 5! That's a lot of people!

@ weaponry dealer I just got to see for myself how prestige does dirty business. After ready these comments, how dare you. These people are being truthful. Maybe we should call some news reporters, stand across the street and tell our experiences publicly. Exercise our right to assemble and freedom of speech. Legally there is nothing the owner can do if we stand on city property. No deformation of character, because we will just say things your dealership has done to us. I'm sure future consumers will be careful and not get sucked in. Say bye bye commission. It doesn't pay to screw people, because people may screw you back! KARMA

My daughter just bought a prestige lemon.
They took a huge down payment, held the car for a week
Told her that the mechanic had to go through and make sure
Everything was in working order. They gave her the car with
Locks that don't work, windows that don't work, and a number
Of other defects. Her car has failed inspection. Wish we had
Seen these comments beforehand. I had spoken to the manager
He tells you one thing, then when you call him back says you
Did not speak to him. They started jerking us around once they
got the money, and signed contracts. The car the had her thinking
She would get was anything but. The fixed nothing.

Do not buy a viehcle from this so called dealership.if your going to finance through them your going to get robbed.they illegally change documents with your signature on it.do not sign any thing without asking for a copy before signing.the reviews you see above are not competitors its all true ..stay away they will take you for a ride. What comes around goes around .dont know how those people sleep at night

BUYERS BEWARE! DO NOT STEP FOOT ON THIS PROPERTY! BE THE WORST THING YOU EVER DO...They are ###...### of the earth...just waiting to get people in to rip them off...I just had the worst experience of my life ever...looked at a car...test drove...and then the salesman promised the world...everything we wanted could be fixed...but could not tell us when...but wanted us to close the deal...kept telling us over and over...how we were going to buy a car from him today..because he had to make his quota for the month...which is clear that was all he cared about (would promise you anything so desperate) Long story short...I signed some paperwork being advised it was the application to the bank...come to find out...when I advised them I did not want the car...not going to purchase the car, so not giving down payment or trade in...they were not NICE AT ALL...NASTY...avoided phone calls for 2 days...then I get a call and told I own the vehicle and sales manager JOE...is harrassing me...calling me and telling me to get a lawyer I own the car...REALLY...never left with the car...never finalized the deal...but I own the car. The ###...confused me and had me sign a contract of some sort with the bank...I have now called the bank to explain the ### this place has done...how unprofessional...loser working their...these sales guys cant get a job at a REAL..DEALERSHIP...IT WAS AWFULL...Stressed me out...I was able to clear things up directly with the bank ...thank god...DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING WITH THEM UNTIL YOU ARE SURE...I WOULD NEVER...EVER...REFER ANYONE TO THIS PLACE - WORST EXPERIENCE EVER...

I also went to this dealership to co-sign for my son's girlfriend. Only to find out two years later. After she defaulted on the payments, that I was the one who had taken the loan out. She was the co-signer for me. I was there over 6 hours, tired didn't read the paperwork. Moral of story please read all paperwork. DO NOT TRUST ANYONE. Was also there with another family member. She was paying cash no payments and said that to the salesman. After test drive she wanted to go home and think about it. They still insisted that we go inside and talk about payment options. She stated again that she was paying in cash. Asked for the salesman card. Another salesman came out, and again tried to have us talk about financing. When she said no she just wanted to have a card, go home and think about it. When another sales came out and said something like there's no sales here. Then called us ###, Totally unprofessional. The manager just apoligized a said they were having a bad day.

You all need to contact lawyer Jenifer Heald in Westport. These dirtbags are violating 93A laws and you all would be rewarded 3 times the amount of which you have put into the vehicle you bought from them. Also you must contact Saul Rivas at the Mass Division of Banks in Boston and file a complaint of the way these guys work. They are not reporting to the bureaus because it cost them money. They will lie right to you and tell they are reporting but when you pull a credit report and they are not on it they blame it on there company. Lets do the right thing and shut these guys down!

worst place ever, every bad review above is right on the money! They also cannot fix vehicles, after having my vehicle for over a month, it came out with more problems than it went in with. As for the buy here, pay here, they do not report to credit bureaus (which is illegal), charge over the usury rate of Massachusetts (illegal), and are just generally ### that don't back their word. Seriously, do yourselves a favor and run from this dealership if you are in the market for a used vehicle!

you all need to contact the westport police, board of selectmen, attorney general's, and the mass division of banks and loans. there needs to be a paper trail so that something can be done.org

Do NOT buy from this dealership. I went there and told them how much I could afford and of course they showed me a car that was out of my range and told me that was the best they could do. They told me I shouldn't have a problem getting financed so I signed the papers and left. They called me 2 days later and told me i was not approved for financing when they have "we finance everyone" right on the back of their business cards. I left a $500 deposit with them to hold the car which was placed on my debit card. I called and told them I wanted the money refunded to my card. They told me I had to drive there and have the card swiped because of their new system that was the only way. I live 45 min away so this frustrated me greatly. I talked to 2 different secretaries and a salesman who all gave me this same excuse that their new system could not process a refund over the phone. I asked for a manager. The manager told me that it WAS possible to do but he needed the owners approval and had to call me back after he talked to him. I had to keep calling there everyday because no one was calling me back every time they said they would. I kept getting "I'll have to look into that and call you back". I called back and talked to the manager the next day. He told me the owner said he could either refund my money or get me a car I could afford using in-house financing. I told him I had to discuss with my husband but I would probably just want my money back because of all the bs they had already put me through. I told him that I would like the owner to call me and he replied "I will pass on your information but i can't make him call you." I called again the next morning and asked straight for the owner. Once he heard my name he was "busy" and couldnt talk to me. I had Pat from my office call there for me and ask for the owner. He got right through to the owner and told him that he was a co-worker of mine and my money WILL be refunded today over the phone. Pat said that companies refund credit cards without swiping all the time and that it IS possible and it needs to be done. The owner Manny accused Pat of being an impersonator and said he was from another dealership. He said he could hear the beeps in the background. (there was NO noise in the background.) The owner then used the excuse that I had to sign the refund which Pat told him was not true, but he can run the refund and fax us the reciept for me to sign. He kept telling Pat that he was an impersonator from another dealership, which he clearly wasn't. These people are very unprofessional and lied to me on many occasions. I know they were just telling me I had to go down there because they wanted to try to sell me another car while I was there. I am so fed up I never want to step foot anywhere near that dealership. I will be very happy to bring my business elsewhere and DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. It has already taken me 4 days to get them to refund my deposit and now I still have to wait for it to clear in my account. AWFUL

That was mild compared to the way we were treated we had to have the police called after one of the managers humiliated my daughter. She said she was going to get a lawyer. He got in her face and laughed with all them and said you can't even spell lawyer. She latter told her husband all that took place so he went there to confront him and the manager realy wanted to fight on the job.Like how professional is that. Even my son in law said meet me after work. All the other guys that were laughing before were not saying a word then. When the police came seem like they been there many times before. They took our report. Salesman even lied to them to get them over there quicker. He said they steady had been fighting on the ground for several minutes. The police laughed at that one.

This car dealership sucks and is the biggest rip off. I wish I would have brought my daughter and her friend to F&R auto sales where I just bought my car at least they know how to talk to people. They just bought to expensive cars from prestige put down 11, 000 dollars cash plus after promising to give5, 500 for her Lincoln LS fully loaded with only 80.000 no they gave her 2, 500 we noticed on the paper work she finally got. I went back so mad the salesman said o that's because its only going to go to the auction. We will not get anything for that. We rerun the next day to get our 200.00 each for me bringing her into buy a 17, 000 car and her bring a friend in to by a 15, 000 car. And in comes a salesman and a family driving up in my daughters shiny trade in Lincoln. They selling it in front of our eyes. Then to boot they only gave us 100.00 for referring not 200.00 to 300.00 what their sign say.

For future customers that read this reviews i just want to let them know that we are a very reputable dealership and that we deeply care about our customers, however in 8 years of existence we sold over 11000 used automobiles...yes used..and to give you an idea we have been in court once, the lady above, and we won the case becouse we took the car to 3 different inspection stations and to the mass state police and they all passed the vehicle, and the only one rejecting the car was her boyfriend who was a tech at sullivan tire and wanted to reject the vehicle becouse of her buying remorses after the car was picked up and regiesterd.We do try very hard to keep every client happy, however as any reasonable person knows noboddy can please everyone.Even if we have 200 unsatisfied customers out of 11000, wich i assure you would love to be less than that, is less than 1% a percentage that even a new car dealership would love to have, unfortunately happy customers don't come to this sites and tell everyboddy how happy they are, and the ones that come here and complain not always say the truth...MANNY SARMENTO

I just recently left this dealership while getting yelled at and insulted as I walked out the door all because I refused to leave a deposit for a vehicle that I had full intentions on buying. Thank god I didn't leave it now that I had read all of the horrible reviews about this company on many different websites. Also the MANAGER told me that I was jerking them around while making an obscene "jerking" gesture with his hand in front of my wife and 3 year old son. All I can say is he was VERY lucky that my family was with me. I hope that this post stops people from buying anything from this half ### dealership I PROMISE this is not the last that they will hear of me

This dealership is a fricking joke...I bought a vehicle from them had to take them to court and all because them ###s put a passing sticker on my vehicle when it had already failed when I took it for inspection. I had to take these idiots to court because they refused my money even after I returned the vehicle to them. 2 months later I was told I lost the case, how convienent and I had to pick up the car and told it was mine. And this is just a brief explanation of what happened. Well since then I've had the car a month in my possession, I've had to replace the starter and now the transmission is gone and the vehicle is undrivable. Real nice huh? I'm a single mom work full time go to school 3 nights a week and have chiro appts and physical theraphy appointments because of an accident I was in, which is why I bought this car and now I have no transportation because the car is junk. I was told I have a warrantee on the car and promised all this ### when I bought the car and they didnt follow through. They all hid when you show up and they have very poor attitude toward their customer and are very unprofessional and rude. That bald headed ### should be put out of business because that company is nothing but a crock of ###.

This place is a joke! It has to be THE MOST unprofessional dealership I have ever been to. I had a bad feeling as soon as I stepped foot in there. They wanted me to sign paperwork before even giving me the price of the car! The numbers they gave me didn't even make sense! I told them I would think about it and thankfully didn't sign a thing! I'm so glad I read all of these horrible reviews. I will never buy a car from them AND I will make sure I pass the word around to anyone looking for a vehicle. Oh and a couple of things I've noticed on the reviews: First of all, @ WESTPORT*DEALER: If you are writing a rebuttal on behalf of your company, you may want to spell check and use proper grammar. Oh and for heaven's sake turn off the caps lock! It looks like a kindergartener wrote this! Secondly, the only positive review I read was from someone with the username Dylan... I find this amusing because there was a response from the same "Dylan" to a complaint on a totally different thread! Seems to me that a reputable dealer would have no need to write phony reviews about themselves. Bottom line: DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE! YOU WILL BE SO SORRY.
