Powerhouse Barre + Pilates Studio review: Employer not paying employees and vendors

In April 2022, I was hired on at Powerhouse Barre+Pilates studio in Nipomo, CA. I received one paycheck In May 2022, One paycheck in June 2022 (supposed to be 2 per month), and one on July 7th. After that, I was not paid 3 separate paycheck cycles. I continued to ask and my employer (Marissa Wilson) for the status on my paycheck, and she replied that our payroll company was at fault and she would try to sort it out. Finally I told her I needed my paycheck and she told me she would bring it to an event on Sunday August 21st. Without notice, she cancelled the event. I asked to still come pick up my check, and she said she didn’t have it, or any money to pay me at all. She planned on writing a fraudulent check to me because she didn’t have any money to pay me for my 3+ missing paychecks. After asking other employees, she was also not paying them, and bouncing checks to our vendors. I still have not received my paychecks.
