Dear Hr I’m (Retired) Dwight Bivins, and I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent suspension and termination from my position as a valet with PMC Parking Management in Savannah, Georgia.
I served 24 years honorably in the United States Army, and I have always conducted myself with integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to doing what is right. During my time with your company, I made every effort to provide excellent customer service and uphold those same values.
On March 25, I was involved in an incident where a guest’s vehicle was damaged. Within a 24-hour period following that event, I was informed that a guest’s key had gone missing. Shortly thereafter, I was placed on suspension via text message without any formal meeting or opportunity to discuss the situation.
I made multiple attempts to contact my direct supervisor and management, including reaching out to Austin, but received no response. I also requested a meeting to understand the situation and provide my account, but that request was never granted.
Instead, I was ultimately terminated via text message and a phone call, without any formal sit-down, explanation of findings, or professional closure. While I understand that termination decisions may occur, I believe the manner in which this was handled was unprofessional and did not follow reasonable management practices.
Additionally, during my employment, I observed several concerning issues that I feel obligated to report:
* I witnessed what appeared to be management personnel, specifically a manager named Mike, taking tips. When I inquired about this practice, I was ignored and the issue was never addressed.
* I observed individuals being hired or rehired despite prior terminations from similar roles for disciplinary or integrity-related issues, which raised concerns about management judgment and workplace standards.
* There appeared to be a broader workplace environment where ethical concerns were not taken seriously, making it difficult for employees who are committed to doing the right thing to operate effectively.
My intention in submitting this complaint is not to dispute the termination itself, but to formally document and bring attention to the manner in which it was handled, as well as the workplace practices I observed. I believe these matters warrant review to ensure professionalism, fairness, and compliance with proper standards.
I respectfully request that this complaint be reviewed and that appropriate steps be taken to address these concerns.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Respectfully,
Sergeant First Class (Retired) Bivins
Savannah, GA 31419
