PictureME Photography - dissatisifed with pictures

I recently had family pictures made. When we were taking the pictures, the photographer kept stopping to wait on customers that came to the cash register. Our daughter was in from out of state so we only had that day to take pictures. We were offended that we were interrupted so often. She also didn't know how to pose us. She kept asking us what pictures we wanted made, instead of suggesting what she thought would be good. A couple of times, we had to tell her how we should stand to even out the pictures. When we received the finished copies, we were extremely disappointed. In every picture, our heads were chopped off. Many of the poses were fuzzy too. We didn't get some of the poses we asked for. In all, it was not worth the hard earned money we paid for these pictures. I guess we should have gone to a more professional photography studio. In the past, we have always LOVED the pictures that we had taken at the photo studio in Walmart. It may just be that the photographer wasn't qualified to do the job, but we will think long and hard about where will be going in the future.

The pictures here ARE NOT CHEAP! My package was 140 $ I paid for the copyrights and all... They have been lost in the mail ever since ! And now there going out of business... They have no packages for less than 60$. Professionalism was there with are photographer and they did a great job not her fault there company is full of incompetent twits.

I am currently contacting a lawyer as this is ridiculous there is no customer service at all and they have had my COPYRIGHTED materials for a whole month now.

I have been going to picture me for ten years and not until the past two have I seen a huge downfall in the company. My local studio never opens at 10 a.m. as policy they are walking in at 10 a.m. which means if you make a 10 am appointment you then have to not only wait for the employee to get there but now they have to turn on the lights and boot up all computers etc. Now you are talking about 10:15 to get into the studio and then you find out that they no longer have a good selection of props or backgrounds. The employees seem burnt out on their job because they sure dont try very hard to do their best. Then after your photo shoot you have to wait another 15 minutes so they can upload the pictures. Lets not forget that they only staff one person so they are doing it all running to phone, to customers waiting and trying to take your picture. It doesnt matter as someone compared wal mart to mcdonalds and what vaule you are getting they should still try and make your photo shoot a positive experience. As far as the DM I have left many voicemails and shes never ever called back so why should I sit on a 800 number speaking to a CSR I want a main number. SO after tens years its time for me to part with picture me and look elsewhere until they learn how to become a company

I have had many pictures taken at Pictureme portait studios in Searcy, Ar I stopped going for awhile because of a lady named Amanda that was the manager at that location but she isn't there any longer. The two ladies that I take my son's pictures now are wonderful they are both full of ideas and take alot of pictures they take there time with him. Thanks so very much for the wonderful job that you both do everytime. These two ladies are Mary JO and Trish and when we walk into wal-mart if they see us they always smile and wave, every studio needs employees like these two. I wish I knew a way to let them no how important they are in that studio.
Thanks Ladies!

Thanks from Lawanda and Dawson

Deb,
I am a DM with the Picture Me! studios. Our headquarters are in St Louis. CPI Corporation 1-888-PICMETO or [protected]. Unfortunately we are continually going through changes we have had our collections and prices restructured so many times the associates and DM's can't keep up. I would say that it was an honest mistake on the over charge. This is my issue with CPI. They are constantly changing and rushing us through everything that we are to frazzeled to really focus on what is really important, Customer Service and Photography. AS for William C it is people like you and your attitude why customer service is taking a nose dive. No one can keep good qualified staff when they are constantly abused by rude and disrespectful customers. I am a mom, a customer, and a professional. I will never behave like what I have seen from customers in front of anyone. I have seen associates beaten up, verbally abused, harrassed in person and on the phone, I have had associates have to get restraining orders against customers. That particular instance was simply because of a safety policy. He did not have his receipt and was not the one who placed the order so we can not release the portraits. We are a professional portait studio. I would not go to an over pretencious private photographer and pay way to much for portraits that I could get at Sears or Picture Me. Simply add the words "Senior Pictures" and you will pay double what the average family is paying at that same studio. We are in WalMart simply to provide a service just the same as the Bank. WalMart is in this to give customers one stop shopping. We are all human, we are all customers, and we are all professionals. All it takes is respect and patience. EVERY business has bad associates and no matter how thorough you are with the interview process the bad ones do slip through. And you can't just say hey you are not right for this job go home. Legal issues then take over and their is a long drawn out process to get rid of the bad apples. Barbara, what happened to you is one of the most frustrating part of our job. We have been told that if the phone rings we have to answer it with in 3 rings even if we are in the middle of a session. We also need to address the customers that come to the counter. I have seen times where we have chosen to continue with the sitting and explain to the customer that we will be with them soon. They then would get irrate. So no matter what we do we can not keep everyone happy. I am finding that this world is turning into self centerd people and everyone wants what they want and they want it now. It is a vicious circle that society has created. By no means am I minimizing your issues but in this day and this economy everyone is a little tense. As for the cropping that simply goes to our training and software (if you were in a digital studio) this corporation is trying to get us to far to fast and we employees are getting lost in the race. It sounds like this associate was on day one of flying solo and unfortunately when you are new you are nervous and you make mistakes. (at least I hope she was new) As a DM if customers don't tell me what went wrong I can't fix it. Employees are the perfect associate when you are around but when you leave that is another story all together. That is why I read the complaint board so I know what to look for. I just wish that this wasn't they way for me to find these things out.

I went to have my granddaughters pictures taken in Boise Idaho. My granddaughter is at that shy stage so not knowing she would cooperate, I took her to the picture me studio in our local walmart. The photographer was a young lady and did a very good job with the session. However when explaining the packages to me, she charged me $20 for the 2 extra pages I purchased. I also had a 20% off coupon that she wouldn't let me redeem because of the $4.99 sitting fee. I questioned that about 6 months ago the price per extra sheet was $9.99. She told me the prices went up in July. I said, Ok and paid my bill and left. When I got home, my neice was showing me the pictures she had taken of her 3 children the day before at the same studio. We both purchased the exact same package. She also bought 2 extra sheets. She was only charged the $9.99 per extra page AND got the 20% off also. Her cost for her exact same package was $22.23 and mine was $47.69. I am very upset at the over charge but what makes things even worse is that I have spent 4 hours trying to reach a "real person" to file a complaint. It isn't that I can't afford the extra cost for the pictures, it is the principal that I only get recordings when I call the customer service line. I called the better business bureau and they couldn't even find information on the PictureME studios. I am still waiting to hear from a real person and am filing a complaint with the BBB. I am just curious if the photographers make a commision on how many pictures they sell or if they just charge grandparents more because we are supposed to be able to afford it. If anyone knows how to reach the PictureMe studios or where there headquarters is located, could you please post it here.
Thanks,
Deb Miller

WHAT? You went to Walmart and got crappy service? What a Shocker!

You probably paid less than $20 for your entire order... Do you expect McDonald's to give you a steak for 99 cents?

Of course the person wasn't qualified. No real photographer worth his/her lens caps would ever work there. Try a professional, locally owned studio next time.
