Overcharged twice for dental work.
I recently underwent extensive dental work at Perfect Teeth over the course of a few months. In reviewing the invoices from Perfect Teeth I discovered a significant discrepancy between what I had been charged and the schedule of co-pays from my insurance provider (Sun Life.) Perfect Teeth had overcharged me by $320. I reached out to Crystal, from the billing dept. at Perfect Teeth, who agreed to investigate my concern. One week later, after not hearing back from Crystal, I went to Perfect teeth to discuss the matter in person. She indicated that she was still working on the problem. One week later, on October 8, 2024, I re-contacted Crystal who confirmed that I had been overcharged by $320. She went on to add that it would take 2-3 weeks for my Visa card to be credited back the $320. A full month later the overcharge had not been credited back to my Visa card. I called Perfect Teeth yet again and upon learning that Crystal was off that day I asked to be transferred to the office manager Trixy. Trixy reviewed notes regarding my conversations with Crystal, agreed that I had been overcharged. She indicated that she would take care of it and the $320 would be credited to my Visa account in the upcoming days. That same week I went to Perfect Teeth to pick up a new occlusal guard that had been ordered a few weeks prior. When I went to pick it up I was told that the charge for that device would be $900. The co-pay schedule from my dental insurance clearly states that my cost for that guard is $120. Perfect Teeth, in their corporate generosity, agreed to charge me a mere $450 for the $120 guard (a $330 overcharge). To date Perfect Teeth has overcharged me a total of $650.
It has now been more than 3 months since I was told that the $320 overcharge would be credited back to my Visa account. Perfect Teeth has failed to fulfill that promise. The disposition of the occlusal guard overcharge has yet to be determined. In reviewing other Yelp complaints about this Perfect Teeth location I have discovered that I am not the first patient to be denied a refund after being overcharged. In summary, the dental providers at Perfect Teeth on S. Colorado Blvd are highly skilled professionals who are passionate about their work. The administrative team appears to be incompetent, and devoid of any modicum of integrity. At this juncture I am unsure as to whether this is a dental office or a criminal enterprise.
Claimed loss: $650.00
Desired outcome: Have the loss credited back to my Visa card

Charge for a service I never had done
I went in for a procedure and they waited until I was numb to inform me that the prices were incorrect and was informed that it was going to cost several thousand dollars more. I told them that I did not want to have it done and now I am being charged almost 900 dollars for dentures that perfect teeth still have.
Beware, dishonest
I have had many bad experieinces with this office:
The first time I sheduled to have my teeth cleaned, I had to have the X-rays taken and then reschedule for cleaning. I am not sure who takes two days off work to have their teeth cleaned, but in my experience, one day is sufficient.
This last experience was extremely disturbing. I called perfect teeth because my husband had been layed off work. I wanted to get our cleanings in before we lost our insurance. I called and asked them to schedule and appointment for my husband and me and also my daughter. They could not get my husband and I in by the end of the month, but the receptionist informed me that my daughter could be seen by the pediatric dentist. I questioned the girl about the age of my daughter to make sure that the appointment would be covered by the isurance company. She had been seen my the pediatric dentist previously. The girl assured me that this would be okay.
A couple weeks later, we get a bill for $140 for the appointment that insurance should have covered 100%. They say that it is my responsibility to double check with my insurance that what they told me was correct before being seen. Pam, the office manager, refuses to take any responsiblilty for the mistake of her staff. She says they will not cover any of the bill and she sends the bill to collections. With my husband out of work, we now have a bill to pay that we should not have.
Be aware of this if scheduling with Perfect Teeth. They are not honest and will not do the right thing. Make sure you check with your insurance before you let them touch your mouth. How scary. If you can't trust an office to do a basic scheduling, I am not sure you should let them administer novacaine... pull teeth... or brush your teeth for that matter.
How horrifying. What happen to basic honesty and decency. I guess that goes out the window when there is money to be made. I bet they got paid for those 2 appointments for "cleaning" too.

I went for a cleaning at Cottonwood Dental Perfect Teeth - They informed me I required more than just a basic cleaning. I agreed but asked just for basic today due to financial issues. They still wanted to provide a quote. I set there in the room staring at a wall for 50 minutes. I was told after 20 minutes they are still waiting on ins quotes. I just wanted a cleaning covered under my ins. After 50 minutes I walked out as I couldn't bare to spend another hr in the chair getting the cleaning. I arrived at 11:40 and left at 1:40 and all I got was an ex ray and Teeth gums measured by doctor. Which took 15 minutes. The rest was waiting.
I WHOLE HEARTEDLY AGREE that their accounting practices are UNACCEPTABLE. I have been sent to collections (and then court) for non payment because of THEIR billing errors. My daughters had coverage thru a different company than I, but they "naturally assumed" (according to their secretary/receiptionist/associate/rude lady behind the desk) that my girls would have the same insurance, and so billed it that way. Even after explaining the difference in insurance companies SEVERAL TIMES to her, it STILL never got corrected.
These billing errors have now cost me over $1, 200 in legal fees, court fees, and interest -- not to mention missed time from work for court and countless minutes (possibly hours ?) on the phone with Perfect Teeth and insurance companies. I'm told that in order to even ATTEMPT to get my money back for these fees, I would have to employ the services of an attorney at a cost of about the same, and of course, then what would it solve ? IT FIGURES.
Anyway, BOTTOM LINE is that my family (all 6 of us, in addition to some friends' families) WILL NEVER GO TO ANY PERFECT TEETH OFFICE again.
untimely care leading to hospitalization
I had a tooth cavity become abscessed and it eventually infected me with cellulitis and I wound up in the hospital for three days. I continually informed the dentist and endodontist from Perfect Teeth that my condition was getting worst daily even with the antibiotics that were prescribed and they ignored my complaints until I eventually got in to see them for a root canal and they immediately sent me to the hospital. After leaving the hospital with a catheter in my arm to my heart for intravenous antibiotics I spent three weeks in bed. I lost income and inccured enormous medical bills. No dental office should have ignored my cries for help to the point of sending me off for medical emergency. Perfect Teeth denies any wrongful treatment and I have not been able to obtain any retribution.
