As much as it pains me to write a bad review on Perfect Locks company (this is my first time writing reviews online), I have had the same horrible experience as others on here. I bought 4oz of handtied 16" custom order hair from Perfectlocks.com (because the #2 colour wasn't available otherwise) after MUCH research on quality indian hair. I came across so many good reviews/testimonials that this seemed like the only reasonable choice. Not to mention their prices per oz were cheaper than every other reputable company, and their website was very well put together with many positive before & after pictures. I don't live in the US so the hair was supposed to be shipped between 7-10 days according to the website. 10 business days later & still no hair, so I email them to inquire whether my shipment had been lost or encountered border problems. The next day I received a reply from Priyanka saying "You placed a custom order with us which takes about 10-14 days to get here and then we ship it out. We received our stock today and your product has been shipped out. We have upgraded your shipping to Express which takes 5 days and have not charged extra for it." This rush order didn't really help me because my hair stylist is known as the best "weaveologist" in my country & does hair for celebrities/the fashion industry & for film/tv therefore he is only in town everyother week always overbooked, with him you have to make appointments well in advance so I had to reschedule my appointment & push it back 2 weeks later. But I appreciated the prompt reply & understood that a custom order would take longer. However, no where on the website did it mention that custom orders took an extra 10-14 days to process! If I had known that my order really would be received within 17-24 days instead of 7-10 I wouldn't have bothered to do a custom order in the first place! I doubt others would too, but on to the hair...

When I received the hair 5 days after the email reply, I noticed that the hair was alot more dry & dull than I was used to with virgin indian hair that I had purchased before. The ends (last 2" of the hair) were very thin, wispy & frizzy. Upon shaking the hair (still in the bundle) I found that it was stiff & didn't swing like virgin indian hair I was used to. At this point it was the day before my hair appointment & I REALLY needed my hair done so I didn't bother to return it. I also thought that it would look a lot better once I had it installed. I was right... for a week! My stylist did a very good job at cutting & styling it, he layered it to give the hair more volume & did loose curls. Upon looking at the hair (before styling) he was a little worried & also noticed the dryness & thin, scraggly ends. We both agreed it would be best for him to cut off 2" of the hair- what was SUPPOSED to be 16" was basically 14". I almost heard my $$$ being flushed down the toilet. For that first week, my hair looked really good. After that, the hair went to all HELL. I take really good care of my natural hair/extensions- moisturize at least once a day, deteangle with widetooth comb/denman brush from the ends up, wrap it in a silk scarf at night, try to use minimal product in it. It started tangling & shedding almost as bad as Beauty Supply Store hair no matter what I did. I thought that washing/deep conditioning it once a week instead of biweekly would solve the problem, but it only helped a little & was a TERROR to keep detangled & from shedding in the shower. No matter how much I moisturize & gently detangle, it's a dry, dull, partially matted puffball with loose, shedded hairs dangling from the ends an hour later. The other night my mother tried helping me get some of the tangles out & said "This is really bad, I think this is the worst I've ever seen it! How much did you spend on this again? You did soooo much research & said this hair was the best...I told you not to buy stuff off the internet." I hate when she's right. I am really embarrassed & disappointed that I spend this much money on such a dissatisfactory product.

The last virgin indian hair I had lasted 8 months & never acted like this, all I had to do was moisturize (scrunch to activate curls) and go! This hair is doing EVERYTHING the company said it WOULDN'T do! From all the positive reviews/testimonials & information on the pefectlocks.com website I thought I had found a goldmine! I'm still kind of in denial & think maybe I got a bad batch or something, & kind of want to buy from them again to see if the next batch will be better, but I don't have the money to take chances. Really thought I'd struck oil with Perfect Locks, but right now I'm going to need oil/serum to tame this crap. I wish I would've seen all the bad reviews on blackhairmedia.com before buying.

**Attached are pictures 1 month after install, right after being moistured with a 70%/30% water/glycerin mix & detangled (as much as possible)- This is the best it gets. I don't like using heat (straighteners, curling irons, etc) and have never had to need to with virgin indian hair that I have purchased elsewhere.

You are literally saying what I said to my hair salon verbatim. Got it installed 2 weeks ago today. Called the salon a week after to report the exact same issues as you. I was being given the runaround from the hair company asking for videos of the hair, and then they want the hair returned to inspect first etc. Luckily I was able after to get a hold of the salon franchise owner after borderline harassment of daily pics and videos of the hair to the salon staff and she immediately rectified the problem as the hair was purchased through the salon. So thankful my salon operates business ethically, unlike perfect locks.

Bottom line, perfect locks is a scam, they will take your money and try e hair will last just long enough to where the return policy is void. Then you’re stuck with a rats nest made out of horse hair and literally fear the shower.

My advice, avoid them at all costs. But if you wanna gamble with your hard earned cash, go to a reputable salon and purchase through them so you have any chance of recouping your hard earned money at all, and even that is slim to none.

I’ve had bellami hair for two years. I decided to try Perfect Locks in blonde and wavy at the recommendation of my stylist. It has been two weeks to the day and the hair is a knotted and shedding mess. I’ve gone through over $100 worth of high end hair products to keep it manageable but it still looks like a rats nest made of horse hair. I spent $950 of this hair two weeks ago and now it needs to come out! Unfortunately my salon is having to now front the price of bellami extensions while they try to resolve the situation with this fraudulent company. For comparisons sake, attached is my bellami extensions three weeks after install. Click on the link below to see my perfect locks extensions after two weeks. Perfect locks as supposed to be 24” and bellami was 22”. Another lie by this company.

oh wow! I'm glad I decided to do a google search before ordering! I'm sick and tired of buying hair that's labeled as 100% human hair only to have the same thing happen each time - pretty much the same that happened to you. Man, the hair I bought while in Brazil was truly unaltered human hair. Where did you buy the previous Indian hair extensions that you said were great? I'm desperate! Need to cover my bald spots! I have hair loss due to some medications that I have to be on. Thanks for posting this review! Would you please share the name of the website/store where you purchased the great quality Indian hair? Thanks!

Perfect locks have rubbish hair, absolute trash! I spent over 400 USD for a lace wig. The only thing they did right was quick delivery to Germany where I live.

Worst extensions, their ends are awful! I had to throw mine to the trash and almost $400 as well... Don't buy from them.

Hello everyone!
ORDER UP!-----------
i purchased a custom weft of blonde and 20in length --
recieved;
'perfect locks' hair and it came and was like 18" with 2"split ends running out, this hair was nappy and dead.

REVIEWS-------------
I just realised the reviews (good ones), are writen by them as all reviews on their site and filtered by them and them on youtube is fake, these girls are given extentions to review, they did not buy them! the girls say 'they were sent to me to review..no charge'
they write their own reviews!

POSTAL------------
they are months late and this is not indian hair, this is like american/horse and it is very dry and dead, i bent a bit and it snapped! you pay for what you get. PERFECT LOCKS IS NOT PERFECT
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM THEY ARE HORRIBLEEE!

PUBLIC-------------
--i was the laughing stock of my friends and i purchased these with my birthday money and i spend all of it on hair, everyone laughed at my 'arm pit hair' on my head! people came up to me in public and told me to 'just chop off my dead hair'.
i have pictures here.

THE STUFF I RECIEVED WITH A YELLOW SLIP---------
i recieved and my weft
width: 2foot long and like length; 18inch(as they call twenty inch)
please look at photos, this is all of the weft! it is thich as my thumbnail and dry and dead!

SEND IT BACK---------
i sent back to be 'looked at' and they found no problem with it'?
what people!
i thought this place was a scam but i guess they dont 'steal' your money. they give you used/dead extentions for it!

NO WHERE ELSE TO GO-----------
if your desperate go to 'Hair X-tensions' they are good and for a little more $ extra.

my perfect locks hair!
