Paula Siegelbaum, Rogue Investigator for Nassau County Consumer Affairs. Paula Siegelbaum is Unjust, Bias, Incompetent, Unethical, and totally Out of control.

Paula Siegelbaum is an Investigator for Nassau County Consumer Affairs. In our opinion, Paula Siegelbaum has been constantly putting contractors through unfair hearings.

In our opinion, Paula Siegelbaum uses the authority of her office to hurt contractors, and force the contractors to run up legal fees and to pay fines just so they can keep their license and earn a living. The Commissioner needs to get this problem resolved. This is not the way to treat contractors that have paid for their license and pay taxes which in turn pay the salary of Paula Siegelbaum.

Why are we keeping people like this employed using taxpayers dollars?

Paula Siegelbaum, in our opinion, lacks the professional ability to comprehend actual construction, engineering, architectural plans, and field conditions, but yet is the only one testifying for the homeowner. She conducts field visits without the required knowledge of inspection.

Paula Siegelbaum represents the complainant by actually playing their part. The contractor is not permitted to have the hearing recorded. The contractor can not have the complainant show up for the hearing, which also prevents the contractor from questioning or facing their accuser. The contractor must show up for this “so called” hearing, or their license is suspended.

The best part is, Ms Siegelbaum is suppose to mediate and find ways of resolving complaints, however, that is not what happens.

The “Powers That Be” should be on notice, and must look through all Paula Siegelbaum’s past cases. Paula Siegelbaum’s superiors are either going to correct this problem, or they are part of the problem.

I am having a similar issue with another investigator for the consumer affairs department. Is there any advice you can provide based on your experience?
Thank you
