A woman came to my door with a sob story about raising money by selling magazines. I wrote up a check for a magazine and was given a receipt saying:

"THIS SUBSCRIPTION PROCESSED THROUGH PAM Corp."

It also states you get a refund if you don't get the magazine within 120 days. After 120 days with no magazine, I called for the refund. A friendly person answered the phone and said I would get my refund within 20 business days. (Seems like a long time, and likely only to make most people forget to follow up, but... I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt.)

I called today and they claimed their "systems were down" and they would call me back. No call back, and they are now not answering my calls.

SCAM SCAM SCAM!

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM PAM CORP. THEY ARE A FRAUD!

to Ben Martin, reply to your e-mail was not delivered, but in answer to your question I did receive refund in full and cashed check which was good, I did not file a complaint with Florida consumer affairs, but would encourage all to do so.

I have experienced the same treatment. Magazines showed up a month and a half late, called and asked for refund was told it would take 45 days, called after about 50 days was told check was in the mail, never showed up, called again today was told power was off and they would call back. I saw this site and called again, no answer. Checked with Margate city attorney's office and PAM corp. has no license of occupation at the address on receipt. Next step is to file complaint with Broward Co. consumer affairs ph. [protected]. Note: I called PAM corp. again and told them I had contacted City attorney who told me they had no license and that I wasa filing complaint, told them to have a nice day. I then received a call back and was told the check was in the mail, we'll see.

I to have an issue with PAM corp. I ordered magazines last November and still have not recieved a thing! Every time I call an automated answering service says that the reps are helping other customers and then hangs up on me! Yep, I am mad!

I also have waited for 6 mo. for a Renewal on a Subscription to be forwarded to Reader's Digest, but have mis-placed my Receipt. If anyone would Email the phone number & address of PAM, if you have it, I would be very grateful.

I just called today about my 5 month-old subscription through PAM Corp. that has never come and got the same answer! They told me their system was down and that they would call me back, which of course they never did. Not to mention that I called the first time at 8:30 MST and they told me to call back at normal business hours M-F, 9-5. The address on the receipt is in Florida, so that would have been 10:30. Jerks. I plan to keep calling. I was worried that I'd been scammed...
