My husband and I were married in September 2005. It took an act of a judge to get us our photos on a disk. Mr Dunkley was ordered to pay us the deposit for our wedding album which we never received. He's such a creep that he hasn't paid us the money.

Beware if you are thinking about using him as your photographer. Buckle up, it will be a bumpy ride and you won't be happy with the results. He wasn't at all useful in suggesting group shots of our wedding party.

In hindsight, I don't believe that ANY of the photographs that appear on his website were actually taken by him.

He's not a nice person and I wish I had never met him.

Makes you wonder why www.okello.com no longer works and he's moved out of the US to Austria.

We too had a nightmare of an experience with Okello for our wedding. He arrived late to the venue and missed the "bride getting ready" shots, as well as some of the other important moments such as the toast and cake cutting! He seemed to prefer candids and did not make suggestions or seem too interested in group shots. It took us months and months to get any kind of proof book back from him and even longer (over a year) to get an album. I would encourage anyone who is thinking of using him for their wedding to run as far away as you can!

We had the exact same experience with Okello, all the more distressing because of how much we LIKED him. He was indeed very friendly and professional, and took gorgeous pictures of our wedding WHICH WE NEVER RECEIVED, even though he was paid in full. All we received was his proofbooks, and then we had to purchase prints from a website to make our own album, since he never a single picture to us. We, too, are pursuing legal action against him. No Bridezilla here, Dunkley is a con artist.

I just met Mr. Dunkley this morning in a photography class he was teaching. I found him to be exceptionally nice, courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable about digital SLRs, composition, lighting, and photography in general. Above all, he was quite the professional. Based on the contents of his class, which included LIVE demonstrations, I have no doubt that he took all of the photos on his web site. There are two sides to every story: I suspect there is something here that is not being said. Perhaps this complaint is from yet another "bridezilla"? Hmmm.
