In total between 2 houses we've bought 4 of these units. The NNPE-240A NG,NNPE - 150S NG and 2 NNPE - 210S2 NG. The NNPE-240A NG is the most problematic so far. Shortly after installing we noticed intermittently we weren't getting hot water. Finally after many months of searching we had to fly an "authorized Navien plumber" from Maui to Oahu to fix it. He called Navien, ordered parts, finally they showed, he flew back again and we thought fixed it. It worked for about 2 years and now we have no hot water in the house! We called Navien and they said the closest authorized plumber is Maui the guy we used before. So, I just got A plumber I knew, he came and here's what he wrote..."The heater is not safe to run or troubleshoot. It is a safety issue at this point. I have reached out to the on island rep for Navien (at Ferguson Plumbing Supply) as well as Navien tech support. Just waiting for a call back from one of them. In my opinion it’s better to install A brand new heater regardless of support from manufacturer. If they are willing to help

Your warranty resets. I’ll keep you posted . Mahalo". REALLY? IT'S ONLY A FEW YEARS OLD! But let me fill you in on what's happening... The pilot makes a big boom because it can't light. So, we've had to turn off the unit and gas so we don't blow up the house. How nice, and they can't return a phone call?
Recommendation: DON'T BUY TANKLESS AND DEFINITELY NOT NAVIEN OR FROM FERGUSON.
