National Collegiate Scouting Association Like many other parents, the recruiting process was uncharted territory

Like many other parents, the recruiting process was uncharted territory. There were expectations and hopes, but there was no real road map other then work hard and colleges would find you. However; we were lucky enough to be partnered with Coach *** from NCSA to assist us with every step. I use the term partnered because he has been there every time we had questions or concerns. Coach *** has answered every text or email, and has scheduled calls for the times we needed some clarity on the steps being taken. We still receive emails and calls from organizations that say we can put ***/player in front of coaches, but it is hardly the case. Make no mistake, NCSA will not get your child/recruit a scholarship, that is based on the recruit. But if you have someone like *** from NCSA to assist you in the journey it will be a much easier process. I have, and will continue to recommend NCSA and Coach *** to any parent that is just starting the recruiting process with their player/recruit.

I would like to say that so far we have had nothing but a great experience since joining NCSA. Everyone has been very knowledgeable and accommodating with all of our questions and requests. My daughters coach has been awesome, the information sessions have been very informative and the website is amazing. We have been very happy with our decision to join since the first day. I am curious to see if they continue to impress, but so far NCSA have lived up to all of our expectations.

National Collegiate Scouting Association The recruiting coach experience through NCSA was very excellent

The recruiting coach experience through NCSA was very excellent. Our family coach, ***, was well versed in all aspects of the recruiting process. Explained any questions we had thoroughly and was quick to respond. Received frequent updates through email and texts on colleges looking for our players position and graduation year. Guided us through college showcases and camps and how to use social media to our advantage. The NCSA website is a great place to centralize all your players data for colleges coaches and is a wealth of information. You must make sure you use the site to educate yourself in the recruiting process. The seminars they have are vital also to educate yourself. The most important aspect of dealing with Coach *** was that he was honest with us. He gave great advice on what colleges to target after reviewing numerous video and examining our players school transcript and SAT scores. My son works very hard at school and baseball but there are still no guarantees. But NCSA was worth the money and experience. Thanks Coach ***!

NCSA is a great resource with easy to resources for athletes and parents. We've had a great experience and our coach goes above and beyond to make himself available to answer questions and help guide our son. We'd highly recommend NCSA to future student athletes and their families.

NCSA is a great college resource. Allows athletes and parents better understanding of the recruiting process. The coaches are always available for mentoring classes and honest feedback to the student athlete. Coach ***, who is our mentor has helped our student athlete understand that there is more to being recruited than just what you do on the field.

National Collegiate Scouting Association My daughter enrolled in the program three years before high school graduation, as a prospective college soccer player

My daughter enrolled in the program three years before high school graduation, as a prospective college soccer player. She continued to play elite national throughout high school, and through that team, and especially through numerous ID camps that WE arranged, was seen and offered numerous college ID visits, recruitment offers and scholarships. Each and every college coach she spoke with dismissed the NCSA as 'something they do not use.' I am not sure which college coaches do use the program, or perhaps there are certain sports for which the program is popular, but women's' soccer does not appear to be one of them, at least not in our experience. In addition, with all the recruiting and testing cancellations due to *** in 2020, much of what NCSA touted did not even happen. My daughter signed to play at a University she selected for both academic as well as soccer reputation and is satisfied with her placement, despite the absence of any assistance from NCSA. NCSA takes your money up front after a hard-sell pitch and keeps it no matter what little benefit you get. I asked for a refund, at least partial, and was refused. Buyer beware!"

The NCSA journey has been a very good one from the platform capabilities to the individual consulting and guidance by the coaches! The templates and the school information is maintained and kept up to date. I always check when I see coaches move between schools and NCSA is in lock step with the transitions. A valuable tool for good players who don't have the notoriety as other perceived 4/5 starred players who have to do outreach to create their opportunities to play at the *** works like school - you get out of it what you put into it! USE IT TO THE FULLEST!

National Collegiate Scouting Association If I could give them zero stars I would

If I could give them zero stars I would. We had a call with someone and decided to give it a try. We made it very clear that the card being used for the first payment could not be used for further payments and we would provide a new number. Only received a receipt. I was never able to log in or change my password and reached out for help. Never receive calls back or anything further help. We only received generic email blasts. I found that they have charged my card for 6 months. There is no warning that billing is near or that a payment was taken. Called to cancel and after holding for a long period of time I was tranferred twice having to re-explain my situation. I was told to cancel I would have to pay the balance. I refused and after having to get angry they "made an exception" and cancelled without further mo ey due. All the while she kept telling me I apparently didn't know what my membership provided. It provided me with $72 per month debt for a bunch of generic emails. All this during a pandemic where the kids may or may not have a season and some families may not have the finances they originally had. Do not waste your money... get cancellation info in writing and ask a lot of questions if you are even considering them

We have just begun this journey (our son is a HS junior). We have found NCSA to be very knowledgeable about college recruiting. It is an easy step-by-step process - which makes it much less stressful for the families. The on-line platform is very easy to navigate. Thank you for the help.

National Collegiate Scouting Association I've read a few of the negative reviews

I've read a few of the negative reviews. Honestly I think in those situations the parents/players didn't understand what this service is about. I can honestly say that my son would not have gotten the attention or exposure he did if we had not used the tools offered by NCSA. With the pandemic canceling showcase events, and keeping coaches from traveling to see kids play, this service was by far the best way to get the attention of college coaches. ...and it appears to me that *** coaches use NCSA as a way to learn about players. That doesn't mean that you pay for the service, sit back and it just magically happens. There is still an obligation to participate by building an attractive profile, keeping that profile current, working with NCSA to develop highlight video, and using the email feature to communicate with coaches who view and follow your player. Face it you'd have to do that anyway. But the coaching community has obviously realized that NCSA provides the most efficient presentation of information that they can use to evaluate players. My son will be playing college basketball this fall at a top notch institution that offers a strong program in his desired major. We couldn't be more pleased with how this program facilitated that result."

NCSA has an extremely useful and easy to use app that provides all of the information you need (and then some) on everything college athletics, including excellent educational videos on whatever topic you may need information on, at every level from the beginning of your college search journey through college graduation. It's easy to use and nicely packaged by topic so you can do a quick info search or a deep dive into research. There are also live presentations with Q and A if you prefer. What is also extremely helpful is your own, sport-specific coach to provide personalized, knowledgeable information and insights about the recruiting process from step one to done. It is so helpful to be able to touch base with this coach, your own coach, in real time at key times in the process for honest, experienced advice and support. In our case this coach also presented a few times for NCSA on various topics and also presented a seminar on game analysis and strategy. Coach was always available, knowledgeable, and very helpful. NCSA has exceeded expectations. We came to NCSA fairly late in the process and are glad we did. If you are thinking about, and serious about college athletics, I would advise you to engage NCSA and to do it as early in the process as possible. Good luck with your sport and college pursuits!

National Collegiate Scouting Association This has been an absolute joke and waste of time

This has been an absolute joke and waste of time. As a business owner I was definitely sold. I didnt have that guard up since it was in regards to my sons future and the opportunity. NCSA is suppose to be what bridges the gap between YOUR ATHLETE AND COLLEGE COACHES. It doesnt. We are now finding out after spending thousands of dollars with them, that most coaches do not even open emails from this company. This is a business. If youre questioning it. I give a hard NO to ever hauling them for anything. Save your money. Go to camps that are offered by the college themselves. Most of the camp invites are a joke. Your kid will get plenty. Everyone does. It always gets put back on your athlete needing to do more work. We know for a fact our son has D2-D1 talent. Hasnt had one offer from even an naia. This service is a joke and I 100% Recommend saving your money. Spend your money on private lessons perfecting your athletes weaknesses and then use *** for everything needed. Coaches follow ***. Get your kid there and fight for your kid as parents. There are very good business men smooth talkers. Here comes some cookie cutter excuse below of we appreciate you and blah blah blah. Beyond tired of zero results. Urge everyone to leave reviews. Again. If youre questioning to use them RUN. Please run. They are very good at talking about all they do. Your hope is up for your son or daughter and Im begging people to put that aside and realize this is straight business. The reviews tell the truth multiple I Times

National Collegiate Scouting Association Being new to figuring out how to approach the idea of having my girls recruited to play soccer in college, we bought into the NCSA program

Being new to figuring out how to approach the idea of having my girls recruited to play soccer in college, we bought into the NCSA program. It was expensive but I think that the girls learned a lot from our coach ***. She had some great information for us and supplied us with all of the information that we needed. She had many one-on-one coaching sessions with each of them and gave advice that was definitely in their best interest. The NCSA team created great videos when we provided them with footage. The footage is viewed by college coaches and as a result they were invited to participate in numerous ID camps. Sometimes parents and students have some big ideas that their child will be recruited by D1 schools. Yes, that sometimes comes true and with determination, hard work, and the guidance given by the NCSA team a student can certainly find what suits them. Our daughters learned from *** and came to realize that their academics and career goals were most important in their decisions. Although they had many offers at many schools (mainly D2 and D3) they decided on the school that suited them best. When we have asked the coaches how they learned about my girls, most stated that it was through NCSA. The college coaches often begin their recruitment there and then reach out to high school coaches or club coaches that we provided for reference. It is all about how you choose to use the program. The only reason that I gave a 4 is because I am a firm believer that there is always room for improvement in most anything. Thanks NCSA.

National Collegiate Scouting Association Horrible

Horrible. I am the athlete that wanted to try this out for baseball year. I thought that I would be able to try and get into some type of future with connections like these. However, after this year, I wanted to be able to shut down my account because I didn't think that I would be able to use their services useful to me. I thought that I would be able to try and cancel my membership. WRONG! Apparently, while talking to Financial aid, they tell me that I can't just cancel my membership because there was a contract. NCSA has you make a call with someone to get you set up with this membership service and they never said anything about a contract. Later, she tells me that I have to pay "Out" of the Membership to be able to leave their services which absolutely makes no sense to me. I wasn't informed about a "Contract" in the middle of any of the times that I or my parents talked with any of the staff. They didn't even allow me to read any of the agreements because we didn't discuss them. Now they just are taking money out of the account even with the declines of payments. This is horrible, a company shouldn't be allowed to do these types of things. It is already very misleading with the free account for the requirement and they try to cheer you up like "Yes" men. This is outrageous and I would like to just let other people be aware. Especially for all the people that are being fooled on the internet. Please read, understand, and research everything that you get yourself into. Something too good to be true could probably be just that. Too good to be true.

You’re a fool. NCSA works. Period. Sounds like you were too cheap or couldn’t afford one of the higher levels of membership which comes with help - and instead enrolled in the Basic membership which includes all the tools and resources to use on your own but no help. If you have no clue what you’re doing - and judging from your writing and command of the English language, you do not - I’m not surprised you had a terrible experience. You should have invested a bit more and gotten some help. The Basic membership isn’t for everyone. Typically families who’ve been through the process before and just need some tools are the best fit for the Basic membership. However, if you’re a newb to recruiting you shouldn’t have been such a cheapskate and you should have gotten some help. That’s not NCSA’s fault that you aren’t smart enough to figure out how to use the same resources that hundreds of thousands of people have had incredible success with year after year.

National Collegiate Scouting Association 1. NCSA is a scam

1. NCSA is a scam. *** was not attentive and she told all of her "athletes" that she was covering for another coach who was on maternity leave. I know that if I were on maternity leave, I would not want a colleague disclosing my health and personal information to an extensive list of clients. Regardless, *** had close to 200 kids on her case load.2. We were promised *** one on one meetings with *** as part of our "contract" but she *** ALL OF OUR 8 *** -Cancelled:August 24th10 am5pmAugust 25th10 am5pmAugust 31st10 am5pmSeptember 1 st10 am5 pm*I was only able to meet with her one time on August 17th.3. NCSA is listed on the complaintsboard.com (Complaintsboard.com)***4. We filed a claim with *** and the dispute went in our favor.5. As stated in another review by *** G, they are *** at ***. We agree with *** in that once they have your money and they provide you access to their "database" they could care less."You will be *** in due to your ignorance about the college recruiting process. They will exploit your lack of knowledge and you will pay for your ignorance. It's ok to be ignorant, that means you just don't know something. BUT, when you are paying for others to help and they prey on that ignorance instead... That is not ok."Regardless, do not waste your time with NCSA. Hire an admissions counselor who has your best interests in mind and who is willing to work with you one on one.

National Collegiate Scouting Association Blown away!

Blown away! We joined NCSA in May 2022 it has not yet been 3 month and the opportunities that my son has already had are UNBELIEVABLE! Look, I was skeptical before signing up, I really was. I read reviews and wasnt sure, BUT for my son, its been bananas the difference. My kid is a hockey player and we are from a small market in the South. I knew we had to do something to help get him noticed and get some better opportunities. It seemed like other parents in our circle of friends seemed to have this secret book that contained how to get noticed and invited to camps, teams etc. I signed him up because I knew everything I didnt know. Just last night we sat down to sign his player contract for a prep school playing in on of the top high school leagues for hockey. As we were signing that he was receiving messages from another organization about the following year Bottom line for us was this, as his parents we believed our kid could play at a higher level, we didnt know how to get him there, and we needed a platform to help us get him out there to be seen. Never in a thousand years could I have got these results on my own. As parents we are THRILLED with NCSA. We have a recruiting coach *** who specializes in my sons sport, hockey. He coaches at the college level and we have met with him several times already this year. He has given us great advice and is super friendly and easy to contact. The seminars put on by NCSA have really helped me as a parent understand the process of college hockey and the path to get there so much. Im addition we loved the seminars on the mental side of sports, and much more. If you are thinking about NCSA and you are asking if I found it or AM finding it beneficial then that answer is YES!

National Collegiate Scouting Association Let me first say that, giving this company a one star is being generous

Let me first say that, giving this company a one star is being generous. If I could give them no stars I would. NCSA is absolutely DISGUSTING for soliciting children with bs tactics to get the child all excited just to slap the parents with a ridiculous price for something we can do ourselves at the end of the sales pitch. The Recruiting Specialist Ross Mandell comes calling us basically trying to shoot my son's dreams down of being recruited by a D1 school & giving us the impression that my son is behind on recruiting & he's only in eighth grade. He made my son feel like crap, and I don't appreciate that at all. He's never met my son, knows nothing about my son, or even seen my son play for him to try to discourage, tear down my son's confidence and crush my son's dreams to make us feel like we're behind with recruiting in an attempt to pressure us to use this service. Right plan, WRONG kid. My son is an amazing scholar, athlete and musician. Ross Mandell, you're not going to tell me that of all the colleges in this nation that my son won't receive a scholarship to play basketball or otherwise. We do not need NCSA for him to be successful! What do you know anyway? My son is passionate about basketball, not soccer or hockey which seems to be your forte. We have MANY resources. I signed up for a recruiting profile, that's it! When Brian Miller contacted me about speaking with a recruiting specialist, I figured it wouldn't hurt. But this is unbelievable. Then you argued with and tried to pressure my husband into to signing on for your service last night. Do you understand that we are in a middle of a pandemic & that everyone's financial situation is different? You have no shame. Remember the name Trenton Claypool because he's way bigger than any private, D2 or D3 school that NCSA can offer him. you can go straight to h..e..l..l...

This is possibly the dumbest, least informed review I’ve ever seen. It is now 2-3 years later and this kid has virtually ZERO exposure online. There’s no basketball film anywhere I can find, and, in fact, the only film I could find was FOOTBALL film on the free website HUDL. This video, which is all of 90 seconds long, begins with a 30-second commercial that a college coach has to endure, then he’s treated to an extended shot of the bottom of the bleachers and someone’s uncle’s bald dome. Then, we are treated to an incredibly underthrown pass that leads to the easiest interception in football history. Your cinematographer needs to be replaced.

I do not see any offers or visits with D-1’s - which you explicitly stated above that your child was headed for and thus has no need for NCSA. Please up-date us!

National Collegiate Scouting Association I reached out to NCSA in November and explained that my family was experiencing financial hardships as a result of my being laid off

I reached out to NCSA in November and explained that my family was experiencing financial hardships as a result of my being laid off. As a single mom relying on one income, you can imagine the blow. I spoke with Javier C and requested that NCSA take into account my situation and cease payments. As if I not said one word, Javier ignored what I said (in my opinion) and proceed to start haggling over different amounts for me to pay and proceeds to tell me that I signed a contract and I am STILL obligated to pay out the contract. One, you want me to force between maintaining my household with the basics (rent, food, heat, etc) to maintain a service that I have not used, will not use, and given the current state, who knows if my child will be able to attend college upon graduating in May . He reduced payments, hence, still forcing me to make payments after informing you that I was not financially able to without sacrificing funds needed for my basic living expenses. He then indicates (paraphrasing) pay the reduced payment amount for three months and if your situation does not change, reach out to me and we will cease the payments. I asked to have it in writing, typical used car salesman mentality, upon receipt of the email "... Please make sure to give us a call before 02/21 to continue with reduced payments, otherwise they will go back up to $180 if we don't hear from you! If you chose to cancel the account, please call before 02/21. I will be able to cancel with no further payments." Well guess what, following month was charged the full amount, they had to fix that and guess what hits my account today ... ANOTHER WITHDRAWAL. I just sent an email last month requesting that they CEASE withdrawing funds from my account - to no avail! This company rates NO STARS in my book but unfortunately, that option is not available.

National Collegiate Scouting Association Just a fair warning to anyone who chooses to use this scouting company

Just a fair warning to anyone who chooses to use this scouting company. You will be paying for daily text messages and emails whether you choose to use them or not. We elected not to use them and were told we could take a few days to think about it just pay $190 upfront to get started right away with our sons profile page. During the interview we were screen sharing and the rep. was signing us up for all these classes. He kept mentioning that they would help our son with academics as well as scholarships and at the end he mentioned getting a psychiatric evaluation and get diagnosed with a learning disability and get medication so he would have a better chance at getting 100s of thousands in scholarships. That put up a red flag to my husband and I. He could sense our hesitation and said to think about it and call them back. We never watched any of the webinars that he signed us up for or even started our sons profile page because decided not to take his offer. ( He upgraded us to the highest membership for the cost of the the lower one,,, we appreciated the offer) but decided it was not for us. Now we couldnt get ahold of anyone and it was always after hours. We finally got a call back and were told wr will have to pay $630 dollars more to cancel. What! We already paid $190 and were not given a specific deadline for calling back. The interview lasted until 10:30 pm and we were all tired as he just kept talking to our son and getting all pumped up, we finally agreed to pay the $190 and said we would get reimbursed when we called back with out final decision. When they finally did respond we agreed to just have them keep the down payment, so we could just be done. They continue to call, email and text constantly. Now, I notice they respond with the same message for each complaint on here and every review its a generic response and coming form a business that comes across as personable. Dont pay upfront! They need to be way more specific, feel scammed!

National Collegiate Scouting Association Earlier this year (April 8th) I contacted NCSA for recruiting services for my child for track and field

Earlier this year (April 8th) I contacted NCSA for recruiting services for my child for track and field. I spoke with an agent about the monthly payments and the services of each tier for their services. Covid 19 closed the school and my daughter lost the desire to play for the sport. When I reached out to NCSA on June 1st about ending the service they told me that I could NOT end services unless I paid them out "per the agreement" of services. They recommended that I transfer services to another child. There was NO discussion with the agent about any agreement, let alone a year long contract. There was no discussion in regard to minimal months of service nor a minimum amount due. It was AFTER I made the initial payment that arbitration paperwork as well as a total amount of $1080 divided amongst 12 months was emailed to me. Prior to discussion with the NCSA agent, an email of information about the program also did not disclose these terms. This is either poor practice with the company NCSA or poor information given by the agent (K. Farnsworth) After speaking to the agent they then emailed me an agreement signed with my name that I DIDN'T verify nor sign. They continue to take $90 a month out of my bank account despite my discussion and despite being informed that no such agreement to a contract was made by me.

We were pressured to sign up for NCSA services by the representative, who insists that you sit through the payment and financial element with your child by your side, making it difficult to say no to signing *** in front of your children. Despite my concern about being able to afford the program, they reduced the amount and told us we could cancel anytime. Our home is now in foreclosure. I called their offices a couple weeks ago and they gave us reduced payments for a few months but would not cancel our membership, saying that they could not. My daughter has hardly used their services. I believe they try to get as much money as they can and then deny cancelation to get even more money from families. I am frustrated as I would not have signed up my daughter if we would not be able to cancel. They seem to be uncaring about individual financial situations and unreasonable. I am trying to cancel before they take more of our money that we can not afford.

I have tried to resolve this matter with NCSA needless to say I got no where I myself have never signed up for this program nor have I signed anything I allowed my daughter to use my debit card for a one time transaction just to get my grandson started in the program and I have been paying for it ever since and I know it was a one time transaction because I was there when she was talking with the person I have been charged the monthly fee of *** dollars for almost a year now .when i called and tried to cancel and explained to them what was going on I was told I can't cancel and they won't remove my card from the account. My grandson has never received any help from this program after Nemours attempts and I just want the money they took from my account and my card removed.thank you

On June 29, 2022 we had a recruiting call with NCSA to talk to us about setting up an account for our daughter who is looking to possibly play softball at the next level. It sounded like a good service but my daughter has not even used her account in the 2 months that we have been signed up for it and does not plan on using their services. We tried to call and cancel our future membership/payment because why would we pay for a service that we are not using. We were told that they could give us a reduced rate for the next few months but then we would still have to pay close to $3000.00. I have already paid $520 towards this service that we have not used and I'm not disputing that amount. What I am disputing is the amount that they want us to continue to pay even though we no longer want to use their service. We were also not advised on the initial call that there is no cancellation policy. We did not sign any contract for a membership. This sounds like a "business" that is only out for money and not to take care of their patrons. All I want is for my membership to be canceled and no future payments.

We have paid over $1,100 to this company to help with recruiting and other resources. We have not utilized the service after the "free call" in which nothing was discussed except how to use the portal. They rescheduled twice. We called to cancel this service in which we were told "NO" that we would have to pay more money to cancel something we haven't even used. When we questioned today 08/22/22 what else we could do the representative hung up on me. When we had the sales call with the initial rep, we were told multiple times we could cancel at any time. Clearly not the case.We are not asking for a refund, we are simply asking to just cancel, and not have our credit card charged further.

National Collegiate Scouting Association My son signed up for the NCSA app and started a profile months ago

My son signed up for the NCSA app and started a profile months ago. He asked if I would schedule an interview with one of the recruiter reps to discuss helping him with his profile on the app to get it out for colleges to see. I said I would but was so busy the recruiter called me and texted me every day even when I told him I would return his call because I was at work. A Female finally caught me on the weekend and seemed more relaxed. She convinced me to schedule to complete the interview process and discuss what the company can do for my sons chances of playing college level ball. They got us scheduled and the interview was very vague and quick but we liked our recruiter. The tools for the site seemed helpful. When we got to the end the rep *** the prices at us and expected is just to immediately right then and there to pick up a 200$ monthly payment for this service. Something in me was saying not a good idea. I told my husband to tell him to think about it. When we did that he cut the price in half by 50% so of course my son was thrilled. I felt so pressured. We were in no way expecting to pay $100 a month for this service. Its ridiculous. As soon as I had a minute tonight I started reading reviews and, as I thought, people have nothing good to say about the service. I am so angry. I was not told you cant cancel and you have only 3 days to change your mind. None of this was discussed. Id better receive every last *** back!

We signed up for the *** program after a consulting call. We asked the recruiter on the call, "What happens if she gets injured, quits tennis, or no longer interested? His response was you can cancel at any time but you will not get any of your payments back. We agreed to that. The recruiter quit shortly after we signed up and have been told we can reduce payment amount, which we have done, but you cant cancel. Then our 3rd attempt today is we have a 50% cancellation fee available. This is not what we agreed to with their sales representative. We want out of this payment as she found no value and is not interested in the revolving coaches or the tips. Just want what we agree to.

I have told the *** on multiple occasions to please remove me from their martketing list and to stop all emails and phone calls to me. I did not want to do business with them since their sales person was an absolute jerk when i did not want to agree to spend thousands on the spot. His exact words were " why didn't you tell me that other members of the family had to help make this decision we could have had them on the call and not waste time" excuse me? RUDE! At this point they are of no help every time i tell them to stop calling me texting me or emailing me they do not care and continue! PLEASE STOP

NCSA promises to help with scholarships and recruiting My daughter and I decided we would join, the sales guy was very persuasive in making us think we were getting a " wonderful and beneficial program" in the time we signed up we were bombarded with so many emails. We tried to make contact with several people and services and never got responses. My daughter set up virtual appointments and was blown off never getting to speak with anyone. I called to cancel because we were so disappointed with there service and program., all I got was someone trying to make me keep the program open. I was on the phone with them for 45min trying to just cancel the membership. So sad that they got all the money from a family and didn't provide what they promised. NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL!

National Collegiate Scouting Association On 3/27, a salesman scammed me into signing my daughter up for recruiters of colleges

On 3/27, a salesman scammed me into signing my daughter up for recruiters of colleges. Several recruiters have reached out via email dating back to 2018 to join junior year recruiting webinars. However, the salesman assured myself and daughter that by signing up, she will be entitled to top college coaches and this is the best investment for her. Also, guaranteed that from her HUDL she will be heading to top schools. She was not getting any assistance with game footage and always receiving emails to upload more of 3-5 minutes highlight videos about 20-25 plays. In addition, as I tried to cancel my membership, I was told via email to contact financial aid department. I was told that I cannot cancel because it's a binding contract and if I do so, I would be responsible to pay a cancellation fee of $200 or if my daughter gets injured that I will be entitled to a refund.Unfortunately they did not want me to cancel and offered to reduce payments from $90 monthly to $5 monthly for ten months. I was charged twice in October (1&27). Moreover, I was informed that I would have to call before the next billing cycle end in order to continue paying $5 or payments would go back to $90. As a single parent I been scammed by a company coaches donot use the information and taken advantage of. Therefore, I've been experiencing a finacial hardahip ever since then and my daughter is no longer playing ball. Overall, I'm requesting a refund in the amount of $395 in the original form of payment.

I signed my son up for NCSA during his freshman year. We were told that it would be a great opportunity for him to get exposure to Division 1 schools and lower division schools. The pricing was a little too expensive for me so the guy was like oh I can get you a scholarship that i can only give out once. So we took it and agree to their top membership. From day one we have had three or four coaches that been assigned to us and they only reached out once. I took my son to several football camps, which costed quite a bit more and were told by the coaches that were there they wouldn't even looked at my son until the end of his junior year or the beginning of his senior year. Not to mention the coaches were all from lower division schools. My son and I decided that it was a waste of his time and my money.I have reached several times to NCSA to cancel our membership and get a refund. After my last email they saw they cant do a refund because all payments are non refundable. I was never told that we first signed up! I'm seeking a full refund since i'm a single mom with a disability living on a fixed income.

I have an old account with NCSA that I would like help with deleting, as well as taking down the search results related to the account which are present on *** Search. I have called their business support phone numbers with this issue several times across multiple weeks, where they claim the problem is being resolved, although there have been no changes. It has been almost a month of this routine.

Initial transaction date [protected], amount paid $806 to date. My family has been in hardship since 12/23 when company reduced my payments to $25 when asked then if I could cancel membership, I was told no! Since then as of date my family has been displaced due to *** requested to cancel membership & have my $806 payments refunded again told no. And even with my extreme circumstance I would still have to pay over $1000 to cancel this membership. The company never emailed any contract or cancellation terms or verbally stated if there where any & that you couldnt cancel after signing up etc. if that was clear I wouldnt have done so! I have no physical paperwork that Ive touched in my hands and No handwritten signature of mines from pen to paper. I have located online that a membership can be canceled & refunded due to injury or other extreme circumstances. Being without a home is extreme circumstances and all I got was a sorry to hear that. I can take your payment to $10 for four months or $1060 over 8 payments to cancel due to my extreme circumstances. I just want this cancelled & the monies Ive sacrificed and paid returned back to me.

I have paid $3500 to this business. They said they will help with recruiting for my daughter. But, she contacted them many times to get her access credentials verified. They were not helpful in making that happen. I contacted them and told them it was best to just cancel. They verified receipt of that information and then told me after withdrawing my money that I had to call them to cancel. It's a complete racket. They haven't done anything for her and they won't discuss refunding me for a payment that was not scheduled to go through until tomorrow. I just want my money back for something we didn't use.

National Collegiate Scouting Association This is a company who clearly does not care about their clients

This is a company who clearly does not care about their clients. It seems as if they just want money in their pocket. When we had first signed up with NCSA, they NEVER had told us about a contract. The whole setup was on a phone and not once did the man on the phone mention a contract. If i had known this would have been a contract, I would never had signed up. We are currently in a pandemic and my family struggles to even get food on the table, I signed up thinking it would benefit my daughter, but not once did it benefit us. I have spent over 900$, which could have easily been food on the table for our low income family of 5. I tried calling NCSA a couple weeks back to discuss a refund due to our FINANCIAL circumstances but the lady on the phone only discounted the monthly pay for a small amount of time. At the end of the day, i'm still going to have to pay the remaining balance, so there is no point of decreasing the monthly pay anyway. The worst part is that my daughter can't even play basketball due to COVID this year. All this company does is send automated emails, rather than having employees contact your student directly about the whole college athlete process. I advise people to be aware of the contract because if I was aware, I would have never signed up. I truly thought NCSA would be good for my daughter but it has benefited us in no way. You people really need to talk about the cancellation process on the phone before you get families into something they can't leave, especially family like mines. Your sales approach needs to be modified..

Approximately 2 years ago signed my son up with NCSA under the understanding that I would pay a specific amount for the initial term of the membership. My son was injured his first year playing baseball and was never able to go back to playing. I accepted paying the initial term however i continued to get billed until Jan of 2022. My son nor I have not used their services in nearly 2 years yet we continued to get billed for it. They could look and see when the last time we logged on or participated in anything. I received absolutely no value for this service. I am not arguing the initial fees. i signed up and accept however what I am arguing is the fact I continued to get billed up until Jan and my son has played sports in 2 years. I was offered no type of refund even if it was partial.

National Collegiate Scouting Association I signed up for this program for my son to help in the future for college offers

I signed up for this program for my son to help in the future for college offers. After enrolling my son in private school, I learned that I am paying for the same service as NCSA and thought why pay for both private school and the NCSA monthly fee if we dont need it. I emailed the company explaining my situation and that I would like to cancel their services since we havent even began to utilize it. Normally if you dont use a product you can return it and cancel all future payments. I got a email from the Senior Member Support Coordinator and he said sorry to hear you want to cancel and gave me a contact number to email and they would be happy to help me with this. I called them on their next business day for her to tell me I had 3 days after to cancel, which was never informed to me on the initial enrollment call. 3days really, that is ridiculous. I explained to her what the senior coordinator emailed me and she said I can lower it or find a service that work, then I continued to tell her no, I dont need the service then she said I could possible cancel but you would have to pay $1000 to cancel, I asked her is she kidding, we have not even touched your services, nor was it mentioned 3 days, why cant I cancel these services that are not needed and have not even been used. It was only 7 days after initial call when I reach out to cancel from the time of enrollment. All she could say is Im sorry this is in the contract you have 3 days. That is not even a decent amount of days for someone to change their mind even if I was told that even though I wasnt. The fact that NO service was used and you cant cancel. Im very upset and disappointed with how they handle customers.

We had signed up to use the services to help my daughter with her profile and help her with the process of being scouted for volleyball by colleges. After just a couple of weeks into the services we realized the service was not a good fit for us as my daughter became injured with a head injury. We called and sat on hold for over an hour each time we called during the day and would never reach a representative. We left voice messages saying we wanted to cancel our service and they never called us back. In December which was over a month of trying to contact them by phone we emailed the company and still never received a reply. They would email us regarding our payment declining because I stopped the payment on my credit card, but they would not return my email regarding cancellation. It is going on 3 months of no contact from NSCA, but they are constantly trying to process payments on my credit card. When we signed up the person never told us there would be any issues with cancelling and all we would have to do is call. We have called, and emailed and with no results. Due to my daughters injuries we are no longer seeking out help for her to play sports in college. We are extremely unhappy with the customer service. They sign people up and get their credit card information and don't care about anything else. They fill people up with false information, and push you into a contract without telling you they will refuse to let you cancel your services. I have read reviews by other people in the same situtation and apparently even if they left you cancel you have to pay hundreds of dollars to them to get out of the contract. I do not think this is ok especially when it is not fully explained to you at the time you sign up for their services, or if a child has had an injury.

National Collegiate Scouting Association My son and I were looking for recruiting help

My son and I were looking for recruiting help. We came across the NCSA website. It looked great and we thought it was free. The recruiter called us and spent over an hour on the phone (great), he got my son hyped up, and then told us the cost. The plan that was sold to us is not what we are getting. We were told there would be communication between top level (D3 and D2) colleges with my son. We would have access to email coaches and contact teams that we choose (close to where we live). A recruiter would follow up and help us through the process. We have done everything on our end and this company has done NOTHING on theirs. The only people emailing my son on the site seem more like spam emails than coaches. It all just costs more money. All the colleges are across the USA and not even aligned with what we have on the profile. We have emailed numerous coaches through the website email and absolutely no responses (starting to think these email addresses are not real). I tried to cancel the plan and the lady told me I could not and lowered my monthly fee. This is not enough, this website has done nothing for us. This website recruiting plan is no longer needed and definitely not wanted. We were mislead by the recruiter and given FALSE INFORMATION and FALSE HOPE. I have called four times to cancel. The first time I got told I could not and she lowered my monthly payment and promised the service would get better as she was notating my account (even though I was in my 90 day cancellation window as explained by the recruiter who sold the plan). The second time, I got hung up on even though I was very respectful. The third time, I was on hold for more than 30 minutes. Today, I was told to leave a message and somebody would return my call eventually. Eventually is not okay. This business is now ignoring my calls. I want a full refund and I would like my plan cancelled.

National Collegiate Scouting Association After reviewing NCSA's ComplaintsBoard.com record and the number of complaints surrounding my issue, this doesn't seem to be an uncommon issue

After reviewing NCSA's Complaintsboard.com record and the number of complaints surrounding my issue, this doesn't seem to be an uncommon issue. NCSA reached out to us regarding my daughter. We had a presentation and after a discussion, we decided to sign up for this service I was told that I could go back to the free service at any time and discontinue payments on a payment plan. Shortly after, I was experiencing health/medical issues and when I called to cancel the service, they talked me into lowering my monthly payments. I agreed as I wasn't sure if my daughter needed this service and would re-evaluate as we went through the process. Following making the reduced payments, which I was grateful for, my daughter was not engaged as she is a 4.0 student and is taking on more courses to obtain college credits while in high school. My husband and I also took in a few kiddos who were going through a rough patch and have been dealing with ***, which has been a significant lifestyle change. I called to cancel membership and explained my situation. I tried to explain that I was not ungrateful for the product we just didn't use it and it isn't a good time for us financially. I was told I could not cancel membership, rather pay $622.50 to "pay off the negotiated remainder of my contract". I again explained to the lady that when we signed up we were told we could cancel membership and utilize the free service again. She basically redirected me to the contract and stated that they would be able to provide us with the negotiated amount or we could continue with the reduced payment to allow us to have some time as this situation may be temporary. I informed her I had to discuss this with my husband as we can't afford a lot of extra at this time. Frustrated I began researching this issue and am finding it is common. I am frustrated and just want to cancel the membership without paying for a "dead horse" as financially, we just can't!

National Collegiate Scouting Association We were contacted by this company, as a source for helping kids seek out college leads for high school students

We were contacted by this company, as a source for helping kids seek out college leads for high school students. My child is starting his senior year. WE were told by the sales staff, that he was being looked at by several colleges, they noted the fact without him doing anything, he had over 50 emails that wanted to contact him. We were told he would have a coach that would contact him and work with him on how to get better, how to make himself marketable etc. WE would told they would help get the needed items online and out to coaches. WE just needed to fill out the bio, attach a transcript and they would help us with everything else. My son was excited that there was someone that was going to help him. So we agreed to the payment of $1800 because of everything they were going to do for us, and the fact we had a coach that was there for him. Once we got signed up and got all the information than we waited to hear from our coach, and what he needed to do, and waited to hear from these people that were going to film him etc. We started by checking which colleges he might be interested in, and was told we would get help picking those. WE got no help. WE looked at all these emails of schools that were interested in him, only to find they were only invites to camps that we had to pay to attend, so non truth, not people that wanted him, people that wanted him to pay to go to their camp. WE waited... got a text about contact from our at 7, replied ok, waited til 8 and no call. Called them to find out what happened, it was not a call from a coach, but an online something with over 200 other people. So not a coach that was there for us, you can't do anything on a video with over 200 other people. Called the next day, mentioned the lie about the emails to us, the coach (we found out not a coach that would help us but just a marketing guy) and they really don't do videos I would have to do that, and post them. Asked for $ back, told no

National Collegiate Scouting Association On Friday November 12 I was contacted by a rep from NCSA in regards to my son's assessment for basketball

On Friday November 12 I was contacted by a rep from NCSA in regards to my son's assessment for basketball. The other recruiters contacted me prior to this once I checked a check box on another website I was using signing my son up for personal basketball training. I was told they are a agency that helps with building a profile and connecting with colleges and coaches for recruitment and scholarships for student athletes. Next I was told that I needed to have an assessment with someone to talk about the process and how they could help. Once the person contacted my son and I, we had a conversation about the recruiting and what they offered and at the end I was offered 3 different payment plans to pay for their services. I was not interested until I spoke more to my son's father about everything. I was basically talked into signing up after a discount offer. Today is Sunday November 14, I went on the website to cancel everything because I was no longer interested I could not find anything to cancel. So I reached out to a rep for a chat session in order to find out how I cancel. He stated I had to contact financial services. . I was not told about a binding contract, or a three day cancelation policy prior to signing up I only found out about this from reading the complaints on the Complaintsboard.com website. I say all this to say Im getting a head start on the process before I get the run around and refusal to cancel my membership. The agent I chatted with sent me a link to sign to cancel my membership once I told him about the bad reviews and that no one told me about the refund or cancelation policies. I filled out the form to cancel today Nov 14 within the three day window. The agent apologized to me for not being informed of the policies and refund process. The company is very misleading with information and they use marketing tactics and fast talking to get people to sign up. My cancel request should be granted along with a refund since I filled the form out in time.

National Collegiate Scouting Association My son came to me on March 15th telling me about this sport program he was interested in that he heard about from his high school football coach

My son came to me on March 15th telling me about this sport program he was interested in that he heard about from his high school football coach. I didn't have time to google or research it because of my other overwhelming normal motherly duties, but before you knew it my son signed up. After being in the house for so long during quarantine and covid 19 closing I guest the coaches thought it would be helpful for the students to use NCSA. My son didn't know it would be a lot of money or anything else to it but to post his pictures and some info about him playing football. Long story short I received some calls from the staff which they kept calling and emailing to discuss the program. On March 20th Joe from NCSA called and talked to myself and my family about the program and my son wanted to join because it sound interesting and helpful. Towards wrapping up the call Joe finally mention there was some memberships and he told us to look at the prices and pick what was best. We picked the plan we thought would fit for my son but was never told about a contract or you can't cancel it. So I am complaining in regards to I need to cancel my son's membership as soon as possible due to I am not financially stable because of covid-19. I am out my work which was my main and only source of income. I am borderline homeless and have other bills to pay like a lot of others effected by this bad pandemic. I called, sent emails, and messages to NCSA numerous times to have my issued resolved and finally I spoke to Lexis on the phone today(4/8 at 1pm EST). She told me I can not cancel it and there was a hidden contract sent in an email when we submitted the first payment. She told me she could give me three months to lower my payments in which I explained I don't want to have the service at all. My son is a 10th grade student and he have no job and haven't been using the membership in which it's a waste of money and more than a manipulated problem for us. I want it cancelled
