I recently placed an order on murrayscheese.com for a cheese that I've been enjoying for many years. However, I must say that the cheese I received was absolutely awful. I was really disappointed with the quality. So, I reached out to their customer service to express my dissatisfaction. They responded by saying, "We'll make sure to inform our staff to be more cautious." Despite their response, I have made up my mind to never use their services again.

I placed an order on December 7th, but it's now December 30th and my order still hasn't been shipped. The customer service of this company is really bad. I received several emails with promised ship dates that have already passed, yet my order remains unshipped. I strongly advise against ordering from this company.

I got my folks a cheese of the month package from Murray's Cheese and boy, did they go nuts for it! They ain't into much except grub, so this gift was right up their alley. Every month, they received a bunch of different cheeses, and there was even a card that explained the names and flavors of each one. No problems whatsoever, so I ain't got no complaints!

So, I decided to give Murray's Cheese a try and placed my order on May 4th. I was really excited about it because the ad mentioned that it would be delivered by Mothers Day, which was yesterday. I even paid over $150 for this, including FedEx priority Overnight, to make sure it arrived on time.

Now, here's where things went downhill. You see, I'm currently serving in the military in a combat zone, and it's not easy for me to get on a phone. But I really wanted to check on the status of my order, so I tried calling Murray's Cheese SIX TIMES in just one hour. Can you believe it? But every time I called, the phone just kept ringing and ringing, and then it went to a busy tone. Talk about frustrating!

I must say, this kind of customer service is really disappointing. I mean, it's Mothers Day we're talking about here! And to have my order not arrive on time and not being able to reach anyone at Murray's Cheese to get some answers, well, it just ruined the whole day for me and my family.

So, we recently got this Murray's 'Classic Cheese of the Month' subscription for three whole months, which was given to us as a gift by someone. It cost a total of $175, which breaks down to $58 per month.

Now, let me tell you about our experience with this subscription. Every month, we eagerly awaited the arrival of our cheesy goodies, only to be disappointed each time. You see, when the package finally arrived, we were greeted with three itty-bitty pieces of cheese. And let me tell you, these tiny morsels were surrounded by an excessive amount of those big ol' ice packs. I mean, seriously, it felt like we were receiving more ice than cheese!

But the disappointment didn't end there. Oh no, not at all. These cheeses, my friends, were not properly ripened. They lacked that delicious flavor and aroma we were hoping for. In fact, they tasted downright terrible. It was such a letdown, we ended up throwing away half of them. What a waste!

To add insult to injury, the first shipment also included a piece of slate. Yeah, you heard me right, a piece of slate. I gotta say, I'm not a fan of this whole digital Monthly Club inserts thing that Murray's Cheese has got going on. I mean, seriously, now I gotta print out the insert myself on some fancy card stock just so I can give the cheese box as a gift. Ain't no paper savings happening here, folks. It's just an extra step added to my gift-giving process. I get that they wanna do their part to save the trees and all, but they're just passing the responsibility onto me, ya know? They ain't really eliminating any waste.

And here's another thing that really grinds my gears. If I have a box shipped directly as a gift, I don't wanna be sending the insert in some boring ol' email to the lucky recipient. This is my second time having to toss out cheese from Murray's. The first cheese was supposed to be buffalo milk cheese, but it turned out to be cow's milk. Now, I'm not allergic to buffalo milk cheese, so that wasn't the issue. However, I had to travel quite a distance to find real buffalo milk cheese that doesn't cause any serious allergy problems. It was quite a hassle.

But that's not all. The last time, I bought shredded pecorino/romano cheese from Murray's, and guess what? I found small bits of blue plastic in it. I'm not talking about mold here, folks. I'm talking about actual plastic. I wish I could show you a picture, but I returned it before writing this review. Can you believe it? I paid nearly $10 per box for this cheese, and I found plastic in it. It's not like I have any allergies to sheep cheese, so that wasn't the issue either.

I was in the middle of cooking when I discovered this problem, and let me tell you, it didn't make me happy at all. I had to rush all over town to find a replacement cheese for the dish I was making. It was such a hassle, to say the least. And you know what's even worse? Murray's didn't compensate us for their "buffalo mistake" when I called them directly. I'm mentioning this because if you have a serious health condition, don't expect their alternative milk cheeses to be what they claim. It's really disappointing.

I understand that mistakes happen, but these are serious issues and problems. Not only are their cheeses already expensive, but if you have celiac's disease, Crohn's disease, or any other gut diseases or allergies, this could have been a trip to the hospital. Murray's really needs to wake up and take their customers seriously. It's not just about the money, it's about people's health.
