MSC review: Cruise liner charging and passengers not been given an option

Hi,

MSC is placing now mandatory charges on some of their Cruises and one is not given an option. You choose the dates that suit you, not the Cruise line. Yet before there was always an option as not all Themes are for every one's taste. I have booked a Cruise for the 13.01 -18.01.2022 and no where does it state that it was mandatory to pay the extra for the Jazz Theme, I was only informed when I wanted to change my Cruise date. This particular Cruise for the whole season (October 2021 - May 2022) is only 3 so one is limited for dates that are suitable.
Please advise and hope you can help.
