A woman just relocated to Georgia this woman is like my mother figure we grew up in the same street in Nigeria in the late 80's she felt like since i have been in Atlanta for a very long time i should know some reputable people who can sell her good car to use here in Atlanta i happened to see Mike Togbe (Baale as he is fondly called)that same he said he have a 2001 Honda accord to sell he said he wanted $2500 for the car he even showed me the pictures of the car on his phone i took the woman to his shop on Metropolitan parkway 2 days after and we negotiated the car for $2000 but the car needs to be washed up and the radio needs a code to get turned on so the woman said she will come back in some days for the payment, she went to Mike Togbe with her friends some days after and paid him $1700 for a down payment and told Mike when she comes with her $300 she will pick up the car so she left only with the VIN number to put an Insurance on the car when she came up with the $300 balance i went to pick her up and took her to Mike Togbe when we got there he showed us another man as the real owner of the car and he is not willing to take $2000 for the car anymore it escalated into a serious argument and the people around there calmed the situation down the real owner was asked how much would he sell the car he said $2200 and we were told by the people to meet halfway for $2100 and we did, another guy took the car for a test drive and said the car needs alignment Mike Togbe said he will do the alignment and i should come the next day to come so he can drive the car behind me to the woman's house since she would be at work and wont be able to come and pick the car herself when i got there the next day Mike Togbe is nowhere to be found so i called the woman to explain the situation to her she tried to call him too and he told her in the auction that he got her a 1998 Honda civic instead because the Honda Accord would cost him $400 to fix and the seller is not agreeing to spend an extra penny on the car anymore that he already sold it at a loss that the buyer should fix it herself when i took the woman there the next day as scheduled to come and pick up the Honda Civic we did not find him again but we could see an old faded rusted green Civic we called him and told him that is not what we paid for we are yet to receive our money back, this is an ### i have known for over 10 years that just brought me to shame infront of someone i have known for almost 30 years i just hope this man is stopped from selling cars but he can never be stopped and if he is taken to court the case might take a year before it is addressed so what happens to the $2100 till then?he is just a lucky SOB that we are all in America if this had been Nigeria it would have been a different ball game i just spoke to people about him and different people are talking of his character negatively with anger but guess what?America is a lawful country we live and we learn never to ever deal with such people again, God Bless America.
