Maverick Painting review: Complaint

I legally canceled my painting contract within 3 days. Owner Jaimie Waller kept my $500 deposit. Said he had spent the money and he can’t give me what he doesn’t have. Says he is paying a lawyer for divorce and he can’t keep his business going. After 2 months he gave me $100, says he will try to send me the rest in payments because he doesn’t want me to file a complaint on his contractor license. Since he has not provided a second payment I will file a complaint with contractor board. A shame to steal money from an elderly woman who is sick.
