Marcus Blassingame, at one time, had a descent job working for his father, John Blassingame, at BlackMen Magazine. However, although Marcus Blassingame had a good title (position) with BlackMen Magazine, he was never entrusted with any responsibility as he was a total mess up and had the intelligence of a rock.
Marcus Blassingame began to experience a great deal of frustration because his father, coworkers, and cohorts had no respect for him. In an attempt to prove his family and colleagues wrong, Marcus tried to start a quasi model / talent agency called TSD Agency.
Marcus had the belief that he could piggy back off of the John Blassingame and BlackMen Magazine names to acquire models, actors, photographers, makeup artists, stylists, promoters, and the like. Initially, the strategy worked. However, once the talent experienced how dishonest, unprofessional, and disorganized Marcus Blassingame was – they began to refuse to work with him. News quickly spread throughout the industry on how shady and corrupt Marcus Blassingame was.
Clearly, Marcus Blassingame was unable to succeed with TSD Agency. With bills piling up Marcus began to increase and intensify his scams in hopes of catching up on his bills. Marcus would steal from Models, Promoters, and Venues – then he would NOT pay Photographers, Make-up Artists, and Stylists.
One typical and very common scam that Marcus Blassingame would organize was to rip off promoters and nightclub venues. Marcus would enter into contractual agreements in which he would guarantee to provide models to host night clubs events. At the time of signing, Marcus Blassingame would require a large deposit – usually in excess of 50% - up front. Standard procedure is for the booking agent or talent manager to keep the down payment money in an escrow account. However, Marcus Blassingame, who was failing miserably with TSD Agency, would steal the down payment money to pay his personal bills.
Word quickly spread about Marcus Blassingame throughout the industry. Marcus was known to steal money from Models and Venues and therefore - people refused to work with him. As a result of his dishonest practices, Marcus Blassingame ran TSD Agency into the ground. Marcus also ran the John Blassingame, BlackMen Magazine, and Urban Ink name through the mud. Because of Marcus Blassingame’s reputation – BlackMen Magazine sidelines him and Urban Ink Magazine kicked him to the curb. The damage that Marcus caused to John Blassingame, BlackMen Magazine, and Urban Ink Magazine is irreversible.
Essentially, six (6) years ago Marcus Blassingame was blacklisted from the Urban Market. No one would work with this guy. Models such as Rosa Acosta, Suelyn Medeiros, and Draya Michele would refuse to have any contact with Marcus Blassingame and they knew the negative impact it would have on their careers. This was perfectly exemplified by the way Draya’s career took off once she was able to rid herself of Blassingame’s stalking and harassment. Marcus had an inescapable reputation of being a Thief and Mess up. Established photographers would not work with Marcus so he was forced to use inexperienced students to take pictures of wanna be models that could not be saved with Photoshop.
For more than half of a decade, Marcus Blassingame has been hiding from people that he owes money to. However, Marcus now believes he can now reenter the urban market that he was been banned from. Marcus had to distance himself from the TSD Agency name so tried to set up shop under the name TSD Image. Only Marcus Blassingame would be so goofy as to think he could fool anyone with this tactic.
Marcus Blassingame – who has the smarts of a wood block – believes that he can rebuild his name by slandering those that he stole from. Marcus thinks that if he keeps lying people will eventually believe him. The problem is that everyone who has ever worked with Marcus Blassingame knows him to be a Thief and a Liar. Instead of apologizing and trying to make good on his wrongs – Marcus Blassingame – believes he can find a new crop of wanna be models to lie to.
HOWEVER, that will NEVER happen. We as a community will not allow Marcus Blassingame to reenter the Urban market and SCAM the people. Marcus Blassingame has formulated a new SCAM in which he steals money from people with his fake model workshops. This is being done under the name TSD Image. Marcus Blassingame was kicked out of the industry for a reason – HE STOLE MONEY FROM PEOPLE! If Marcus Blassingame thinks he can reenter the community he is sadly mistaken. There is no place in the industry for a THIEF like Marcus Blassingame. All of the competition has continued to shine while Marcus was completely shut down. Marcus Blassingame is a THIEF, LIAR, CROOK, and CON ARTIST.
It is not a coincidence that no photographers, established models, make-up artists, stylists, etc. will work this Marcus Blassingame. No one that was working with Marcus six years ago is working with him now. Marcus Blassingame is not smart enough to realize that when he steals from people the word spreads throughout the industry. Marcus Blassingame seems to think that he can cover up his scams by telling lies about the people he stole from. Apparently, Marcus Blassingame lives by the motto, “there is a sucker born every minute.” However, history speaks for itself. No one will work with this thief. He has to constantly hustle to try and find new victims – but thanks to websites like this one - potential victims have a chance to protect themselves from crooks like Marcus Blassingame.
No established or intelligent people will work with Marcus Blassingame. It doesn’t matter if he changes the company name to TSD Image or TSD Thief or TSD Scam – Marcus Blassingame is a proven THIEF, LIAR, CROOK, and CON ARTIST who will steal your money.
