I bought a large suitcase manufactured by Maestro Luggage a year ago and have hardly used it. Recently the button on the handle broke so that the handle will not release so that it can be extended. Because they offer a 10 year warranty against faulty workmanship, I contacted the company through their website www.maestroluggage.com (you can’t call because they don’t publish a phone number or address). I explained the problem and later received an email which instructed me to send pictures of the damage. Several days later I finally got a blind response from their customer service department stating that the damage was due to excessive wear and they would not honor the warranty. They did say I could spend another $30 to order a new handle and then pay someone locally to make the repairs.

The Maestro Luggage 10 year warranty is a joke. They don’t honor it and since the only way you can communicate with them is by email, it’s very convenient for them to hide behind their website and remain totally anonymous.

Beware of Maestro Luggage and don’t buy their product! Save yourself the grief and go with a more reputable luggage manufacturer.
