My small business had numerous issues with this company's phone system. We used them for about two years. I was not able to use the portal system to change even the voicemail message. When I called customer support, I was on hold for an average of 20 minutes before someone answered. No one was ever able to help me. A ticket would have to be opened for my issue and then I would receive emails that the ticket was closed and there was never any resolution.

In mid June we decided to move to Ring Central. The number was ported over from Lumen and our account was easily activated with Ring Central. I left a message with lumen (because I could never get a live person) that we were disconnecting our phone service with them.

No one from Lumen ever responded. Two months later, I got a bill from lumen. They were still charging us for phone service even though they did not have the legal rights to our phone number.

I wasted hours of my time on the phone with several managers trying to resolve the issue. On 9/8, I spoke with michael and then rachel. I spent an hour on the phone trying to resolve the issue. after an hour, it was still not resolved.

another manager actually emailed me. she informed me that because I did not disconnect the service on the portal I was responsible for the charges.

I explained that the portal did not work. No one from lumen was able to figure it out either. I explained that they no longer had rights to the phone number.

I finally paid the bill. I think their practices are deceptive.
