Purchased a "high end" Gulistan Stainmaster carpet with recommended padding from Lowe's. The product was advertized with a 25 year life time and warranty. No warranty materials were provided or offered at the time of purchase. Within one (1) year of installation, the carpeting developed noticeable staining at doorway and around existing furniture. Professional cleaning and use of dry cleaning and liquid stain removers failed to effect staining to any noticeable degree. Vendor sent out inspector who determined that stain was likely result of tobacco smoke clinging to carpet fibers and should be removeable with professional cleaning. To date, no professional cleaning product has been identified to accomplish stain removal and the carpeting will need to be replaced at owner's expense. This is the result of occasional, light smoking by guests in the guess bedroom over the course of 12 months. Neither Lowes, nor Gulistan, nor Stainmaster will honor a claim on this product because the staining element is not covered under the warranty. The warranty materials provided only after filing a claim and having to request the warranty from the manufacturer onoy covers food and beverage stains and nothing else. CAUTION: Do not purchase this product and do not rely on the misrepresentation in the store's advertising. This product is not worth the expense and will not hold-up.
