In february of 2011 i decided to buy a boat and went through boat traders.com on the internet and seen a boat i liked advertised at Lanier Marine Liquidators. After emailing them, they came back with a set price on shipping costs, boat and new trailer and a couple of other items in which we agreed to the price. we live in Australia by the way. Thinking that they were above board i wired them the money. as you all guessed, it all started to go pear shape, the constant emailing on our behalf and the lack of information coming from L.M.L as to when my boat leaves America, pictures and updates. Email after email i sent until in late April i received an email informing me that the boat was booked and leaving on the 6th of May and would take between 30 t0 45 days to get here. about mid way into may i was thinking "shouldn't some one be contacting me to let me know on what to expect"? so more emailing to L.M.L and finally Shane replied saying that the boat is now in the hands of a shipping agent in which he gave the email address to. i then emailed him asking him about all the hard copies documents that we paid for that was supposed to be sent to us, his reply back to us informed us that the shipping agent had them. after sending two emails to this so called shipping agent, he rings my wife saying that everything is under control except for the import paper work on the trailer in which he said to my wife "that should have been done inferring that it was up to us". my wife then explained to him that your the one with all our paper work and details on the trailer. he then said to my wife "leave it with me, i will get in touch with my sydney broker named Zac who i will get to send you the paper work. Don't worry i will ring you in a couple of days time". haven't heard back from him since. Boat arrived on 1st of July, no phone calls no nothing. After my wife rang the shipping line they gave her the number of Zac the broker which is CCA custom import service in which she spoke to a man name Mous after my wife explained to him what the story was. he said that he had no paper work, nothing had been sent to him by James W O.Conner of all flags international and yes that they has been consigned our boat and were very interested for Jim to get in touch with them because they hadn't heard anything from him. Anyway my wife called L.M.L to let them know what was going on with their shipping agent to which Shane replied that he couldn't see what the problem was and that he and Jim spoke to each other on a regular basis and said that he would get in touch with jim, my wife said good luck with that one and low and behold we get an email from shane from L.M.L saying that we owe jim money because between the three of them, jimmy of all flags international and the L.M.L salesman and not forgetting the man who brought this nightmare upon my wife and myself J SHANE VAUGHAN of lanier marine cant even get a set quote right and invoice receipt clearly stating from our door to your brisbane port Australia, if there had been a problem from the start. Surely you would think that at least one of the men would have at least rang me or emailed me. They had at least 5 to 6 months to do so now. As i write this email to the people out there, my boat is now racking up storage fees all because of Shane Vaughan of Lanier Marine Liquidators, doesn't know how to run a legit business and i sincerely hope that he gets shut down as i don't want any one going through what we have!

Three years ago years ago my son and I wondered onto what we thought was a gold mine near Dahlonaga, Ga. as walked through the fifteen acres of boats. At that time we had been hit hard by the bad economy and only had a couple of boat hulls and a trailer to offer on trade for a boat we had picked out. Our offer was accepted and we took home a boat. which turned out to be some of the best father son times I have ever shared with my son.
