I purchased King Hickory sofa, loveseat & ottoman March 2008. When it was delivered, there were strings hanging everywhere. Hoping it wasn't an indication of quality, we clipped the strings & kept the furniture. The chair has had the cushion replaced already. The sofa wasn't really used until January of this year. The cushions on the sofa are also collapsing. You are basically sitting on the frames. I contacted King Hickory by email twice and called them once. They never responded to my emails & when I called them, they referred me to the dealer where we bought the furniture. Very poor quality, I would not purchase again. Clearly, they don't stand behind their product. I have 20+ year old furniture in my basement that looks better than the King Hickory. Very disappointed.

Spent 14k on a custom Bentley sectional and within 2 years the cushions have caved in. Looks pretty but it’s terrible quality. Wished we would have seen this website before spending 20k on furniture from them. Purchased a sectional, ottoman, and 2 accent chairs.

I bought 10,000 of King Hickory, sofa, 2 chairs and ottomans, pure leather. I gave up on the distributor, Hudsons Furniture of Winter Garden, Florida. The padding on the arms are so thin you can feel the sharpe edge of the frame…it will bruise your ribs. The foam seats are substandard and the color wears easily off the wilt cords and the leathers fades terribly on the front of the arms. Contacted King Hickory Customer Service, Susie, on [protected], she was to contact the distributor….have heard nothing….after 2 years….King Hickory is junk….it seems their customer service is the same!

I wish that I had read these reviews before ordering my Benson sofa. It looked durable and well made at the furniture store. Within 2-3 years after I got it, the back cushions started breaking down. They would not hold their shape and collapsed while leaning back on them. I checked my warranty and was surprised King Hickory only warranted the back cushions for 2 years. What gives? You pay over $2000 for what you are told is an American made quality sofa only to find out it is a piece of junk. Both the furniture store (The Comfortable Chair Store in Roswell GA) I purchased the sofa from and King Hickory blamed me for not fluffing the cushions enough. GIVE ME A BREAK. The seat cushions had to be replaced as well, but thank God they were still under warranty. Since they are made the same way I don't expect them to last for much more than 3 years. The arm rest on the couch is dented where people rest their arms while sitting. I have NEVER been so disappointed by any furniture in my life. If you are looking for quality furniture, don't buy the King Hickory brand!

I just purchased a sofa from King Hickory and had it delivered in Nov 2019. We chose the fabric which some was a hide. When they delivered it we noticed some of the hides were from two different types they offered. One had short hair like they are normally seen in and two of the panels have long hair. Really looks horrible, the long haired sections stand out from the others. Called them and they said its normal not realizing I am in the furniture business and know they are full of crap. I wish I had looked at the site before I purchased. I would have went somewhere else.

King Hickory upholstered furniture is horrible - stay away from this brand. Purchased a sofa, loveseat, and two ottomans - the cheap fabric piled within days! And, I have NO animals or children at home - we're a retired couple. Now the attached back cushions are pulled away from the frame.

Will NEVER buy from this company again. The dealer called them and they did NOTHING!

My $4, 000 sofa’s cushion started collapsing within TWO WEEKS! I contacted the furniture where we purchased it and we were told you can’t sit between cushions or they will collapse. I’m sorry but I’m not buying that because now the whole cushion is collapsing after FIVE weeks! I WILL NOT accept this, someone is going to stand behind this poorly made thing! We even purchased an extra 10 year warranty on it. I’m calling our store again tomorrow as they have a good customer satisfaction reputation and this sofa is going BACK!

Just purchased the Easton Sofa in leather, the sofa came damaged, wrong leather, and bad cushions. If this is a luxury sofa I would hate to see a regular one. The cushions are the worse. They say and leather is very loose after only 2 weeks of having hardly in use. Wish they would come here and see what they delivered to my home for 4, 000.

My grandparents had the same sofa (king hickory) for as long as I am old (34yrs) and it sits/looks/still is more comfortable than the brand new sofa I bought from LA Z Boy. I was worried about fading of the fabric more than the construction and the salesman helped me understand why I needed a synthetic fiber instead of a natural fiber. I never would’ve thought why a fabric would last longer than another. My only regret is I would’ve put the fabric on a better constructed frame. The is no comparisons to coil springs against sinuous. Sinuous spring is by far the least expensive way to build a sofa. I’m a firm believer in getting what you pay for.

I just purchased a very large King Hickory sectional. The dealer insisted that it was great quality and easily made more sense to buy new than to reupholster my 10 year old ethan Allen sectional. I have been unhappy since the day it was delivered - the cushions look lumpy and appear to be different sizes, the upholstery is already puckering after 2 weeks of use, the pillows are not fully stuffed and the dealer thinks I'm being picky and am a perfectionist. I would think spending $5000 on a sectional gives me somewhat of a right to expect quality.
I am greatly regretting my decision not to spend the extra money to reupholster my ethan allen couch which after 10 years of use is in better shape than a brand new King Hickory.

I purchased a sofa and chair from Weirs that King Hickory had made in 2001. It is the upmost quality and the chair or sofa never faded. I will purchase again from King Hickory. Sorry for your experience.

I agree entirely. I bought 2 chairs, 2 extra side pillows, and an ottoman in April 2007. Everything is badly faded. The seats of the chairs more or less collapsed about 2 years ago. Although each chair was $1125, it isn't worth fixing the seat cushions because the fading is so bad. It probably isn't only the cushions, but the springs have given out too. I also have furniture from Ethan Allan, Sherrill, Henredon much, much older and nothing in my home looks as bad as these King Hickory items. Im ashamed for anyone to see them. The poorest of quality!
