My issue is with key bank on Route 30; Amsterdam ny.
I have a checking account and 2 savings accounts.
Much to my surprise, in my savings account, (balance $411) I noticed a minus sign on that balance. I called the bank and they informed me someone cashed a personal check from NBT bank for $850. The teller immediately handed the customer the money - knowingly there wasn’t enough money in the account to cover the check. There should have been a hold on that personal check.
My daughters name was on the account so they just handed her the money.
The owner of the NBT check “stopped payment” on the check immediately. I was OUT $850 because of a massive error the teller made. Your employee; a gentleman from the bank didn’t want to give me a copy of the check and basically told me the error was mine. I’m livid. I’ve been a customer for years.
That money should be returned to me.
