I initially contacted Ernest Duran because he said he flips houses. I wanted to sell my house. He signed an AS IS contract with me. His contractor came with him to look at my property. Ernest told me I had structural damage so he couldn't buy my house. The contractor told me Ernest was very enthusiastic to buy my house. Ernest said he could aggressively sell it. The contract was signed 020918 and terminated 030518. He told me he found a buyer 042418. I signed another AS IS contract for $100, 000. i went out to my home to clear out two remaining rooms. The buyer shows up at my house. He stated "I have gotten financing on houses in worse shape than yours. I don't know if I can get financing. There was a wind storm 3 wks ago you should file an insurance claim. I have never sold a house before and I feel the broker and his contractor took advantage of my lack of experience. I told him I didn't have homeowners insurance. He told me the bank has insurance use theirs. I called my bank and the title company called for a payoff and the bank denied the claim. My house is 4.5 hrs from Denver. Dan offered to let the adjuster in. When he did he told the adjuster he was the contractor. He also added more to the claim. The contractor Dan Schmedeman said he called the adjuster who said the bank got the money and was keeping it. Both Ernest and Dan started pressuring me. I emailed my bank and asked for a letter of denial. The insurance was reinstated. There have been amend to extend numerous times. The broker knew I was paying a mortgage. The broker started threatening me as soon as the roof was done. He also knew that I had pipes that were repaired and I was billed for that by the plumbing company in March. The insurance was to pay on that as well. He refused to wait for the payoffs until that was paid. He then told me I was holding up closing so the buyer could say I was non performing. I told Ernest I wanted a 30 day extension and I was reserving my right to seek legal counsel. I did that this morning. I think there was foul play and the law firm suspects that as well. I've hired a lawyer to look into it. Ernest sent a text on Saturday 1227pm telling me he was going to send the extension for 30 days this morning Monday 082718. Now he is refusing. He also said he refused to renegotiate the purchase price. My insurance brought more value to the table and i want to be compensated fairly for it. I didn't authorize any additional work to be done but the house has been renovated while I continue to pay my mortgage payments each month.

I was apparently lied to about the structural damage. The contractor did a good repair patch job and paint.

I have included a timeline of text communciation and the Better Business Bureau complaint. I have also filed a complaint with the State Attorney General's office.

Please respond and provide a resolution to my problem. Also please ensure that this doesn't happen again.
