KASHMIR TRAVELS & TOURS review: Fraud in booking tickets 36

Hey, We sail in the same boat man. I tried to google his address and the closest match listed his home address as 11 Chopin Street, Jersey City, NJ [protected] but not 100 % sure if that's him. I tried to contact BofA based on the account number to trace it but obviously they wouldn't reveal the information. I have been bugging Mohammad Darr every single day and haven't heard a word from him. I called Qatar Airways to see if he or his son Sohail booked the ticket or not but they said that it was reserved for the date I requested and since they didn't receive the payment on time it got unblocked automatically. The last time I spoke to Mohammad was last to last weekend when he said that he is admitted in the hospital with some Cardiac issues and will get back to each and every one of his customers when he is back on his feet. I have no idea on how to proceed in this case. I live outside NJ otherwise I would barge in personally to his residential address. If you find out anything in this regard please let me know.

Yes this guys is fraud, they booked my tickets two times and got cancelled two times, I called the airlines and the airlines said that the ticket is on time limit and if the travel agent dont pay us the ticket will get cancelled, man I am really do pissed off and disappointed, I spoke to his son Sahil, he promised to take care, but all this is a lie and now they are saying that u all( customers) will receive a notice in the mail, I don't know what it is but we are going to file a police complaint, as this is a cheating, we all should file a complaint

I booked travel through Kashmir travels (Mr.Darr) on 22nd november & payed him via wire transfer. He hasnt purchased my tickets & havent been
taking my calls. I am thinking of filing police complaint...can you please provide your contacts so we can take collective legal action against this travel agency.

I have also booked 2 tickets in November. He received full payment from me, by cheque. But he never booked my tickets. When my reservation got cancelled and I contacted him regarding this, he tried to fool me around. Ultimately I called airlines and they informed me that, Kashmir Travels has never booked tickets for me. I immediately went to their office, met Mohhammad Dar and his son Sahil, and asked to give my money back. They both resisted me and said hey will give me money back in 4-6 weeks. They gave me the letter signed by Mohammad Darr, that states they will return my money in 4-6 weeks. But now I am shocked with this outcome, that he had fled with money. It is a big fraud and I am definitely going to file a complaint. If we can file a collective complaint then it will be more strong.

Let's meet together and presses the charges against him

I called Kashmir Travel yesterday & talked to Sahil. It looked to me they will be filing bankruptcy...question is...is it that easy to commit fraud, get money transfered to your bank account & declare bankruptcy...

I filed Police Report in Jerssey City police station.

Hi, I booked three tickets from the same guy, I called him the other day and ask him to change the date on one of my ticket, he asked me to send him my info in mail and also mentioned that his consolidator has committed fraud to him. I have a feeling Mr.Muhammad waqif Darr & Sahil Darr has transferred the money to some other country & is planning to run. They might have booked their flights already. Their name needs to be in no fly list.

I dont know that...i just sent an email to NJ Attorney general Investigator...but ideally it should be NJ Local police...if anyone on the list is in NJ...they can call local police and request...

I booked tickets well in advanced from Kashmir Travels for India trip for December 2011, Same on December 02, I received an email from Kashmir Travels that they are having financial dispute with their partners..
I paid $4000.00, Since then I never heard anything from them.
Not sure how many people lost money, we all have to do something together.

First of all everyone has to take basic steps/ measures as others suggested.

Second, IT IS TIME, to work TOGETHER, having said that stop reading TOO MUCH about Kashmir Travels and Mr.Darr and thinking to hire lawyer, who is ready to take initiatives and ready to spend few hundreds if we have to spend ? Unfortunately our money helped Mr.Darr now time to spend few $$$ to go after him...Are we ready to take legal ? ?
If not then, we will be looser...and the one who ate our money will enjoy using our hard earning money...again...Are we ready to take legal actions? ? ?

Darr didnt show up on Bankruptcy list of creditors meeting. IT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR 2/23/12 AT 9 AM.

Kashmir Travels guys cheated me too. I lost $4000. I booked tickets for myself, my wife and my 2 babies. Due to health issues, we could not travel. Later we wanted to cancel the tickets and Kashmir Travels is closed by then, I tried contacting Air India and they said, they never see tickets issued in our names.

Not Sure if anyone has filed complaint with Federal Trade Commission...I would recommend it

I had a very bad experience with these people too.. I brought two tickets through them it amost costed me $1600.. two months before I was supposed to travel my wife had a accident and we had to drop the plan to travel.. I called him and asked him to cancel. he asked me to submit medical papers. I gave all ER documents.. he said my money will be refunded after 3-4 months. But till now my money is not returned. When I called up airlines they said there were no tickets booked on such date. I called up many times and also argued with Mohammed, Tawheed, Sahil.. they are saying I never cancelled.. they did not receive any documents ect.. they stopped taking calls..

We need to takes these people to bars..

Kashmir Travel agency as well as Mohummad Darr and his son sold us tickets for Umrah in July of 2011, and he took our money and bought tickets, and then proceeded to cancel them. He pocketed our money and never provided us with the services we gave him our hard-earned money for. We were forced to buy tickets at the airport and barely made the next flight. After we came back home we took him to court, and sued him for $4, 650. The case no. is HUD DC-[protected]. We won and now are pursuing him to collect our money.
