I hired a contractor called JW's Home Improvement. We have contracted him to replace the roof on the house along with other repairs on the outside of the house. He has not returned to finish the roof work and the roof was found not in a water tight condition. The roof is missing the roof cap, 30 feet of flashing between a roof along the back of the house and the lead boot around all 3 Chimneys. He has left our roof unfinished along with $6000/ $8000 in damages from a roof he installed. There also is $800 /$1000 in unfinished work on the roof itself. We also paid for other work such as wood trim replacement, installing new gutters and priming all wood trim. The costs to finish these items have yet to be determined. This is the short list of what is left undone. I have a copy of the signed contract with JW’s. His address is 59 Grove St. Winsted Connecticut. We are hiring a contractor to finish the immediate needs to finish the roof and make it water tight. We would like to know what our options are in recouping our losses? Jerry How’s it knowledged verbally and also by text is responsible for the damages and the contracted work left undone. Damages incurred to wainscot ceiling, insulation replacement and an Antique chair.

Our contract information is:
