I paid a visit to the Salon, as they were offering promotions for "wash and colour". I was told that day was fully booked, so I got a free slot for noon the next day. The owner, Jonal Chong informed me that as my hair required special colouring, I would be charged as such: full price for the colouring, promotion price for the cut.
I arrivbed at noon the next day, and they made me wait one hour. When I finally for impatient and asked when they would see to me, I was told another 30', and could I come back then?
Meanwhile, the colourist had come to see my hair, which is black, and I wanted my roots bleached and the whole head done in silver. I was told it would take $S 48 x 4, as 4 treatments were needed ie 2 root bleaches, 2 full head colour, and a cut.
I said this was contrary to what was told to me yesterday.
When I tried to speak with the owner, Jonal Chong, he brushed me off.
I ended by leaving, but after wasted hour whole hour.
For a Salon that boasts to be "Nicole Kidman exclusively appointed hairstylist", I think the claim is misleading -if not false, as the actual services provided are NOT professional.
There is no complaint body in Singapore to deal with such cases. What should I do?

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
This type of thing is so hard to figure out. We did an investigation for a SFO site and really had more complaints than facts, sorry guys.

Colin Mak Yew Loong speak fluent English, and like to speak some foreign language to deceive you that he from oversea, he lie to all of us that he from NYC but actually he sleep in the street, he have no hp and no money, and always want your E-mail address to contact you.
Epilogue ever since DENGSALOON become more fortunate to be expose in the editorial/ fashion market, magazine and internet, countless people claimed to have also understudied hairdressing and makeup under the same master as we did. Some even claimed to be our master. This very common in some part of the country. We have been fortunate to have work with many talented artists and great personality, but along the way we do have our own fare share of up and down with LIFE and the “WANNABE PEOPLE”. because Jonal Chong has repented--
I believe we should divert biz to him instead of a smaller hair salon like Deng salon
I find that a hairstylist who asks for your personal details of your life and tells it to your other friends is CREEPY and troubling to say the very least.
Jonal Chong Hair Salon might be scamming people... but he used to have his shop for a few days at Deng Salon at 1 Coleman St #03-07 The Adelphi (The life style Mall) Singapore(179803)
Thomas Lee and Kelly Lee owns this salon and I decided to try them out after Jonal Chong was said for and done with.
What a ruder shock I had from them when I had my hair rebonded, and trimmed. Thomas made several inappropriate remarks at my friend and her personal life.
You will see Thomas Lee's photo in his grammatically incorrect blog here in which he pretends to even speak spanish, calls himself a photographer, even a philosopher etc with his high school only education.
I think some hair stylists should know their place and position instead of pretending to be what they are not. They are just hairstylists, not professors etc

In my salon-- whenever I had my hair done by Thomas Lee at Deng Salon he would go on and on about his hair styling experiences with various celebrities in Singapore-- even worse than Jonal Chong.
Guess what-- at least Jonal Chong made an apology in public to the people he deceived, but Deng Salon
continues to deceive. They have no real skills yet their walls of their salon have a whole lot of pictures.
The pictures at their blog dengsalon.blogspot.com imply that Thomas Lee did indeed do the models hair and photos. Everyone knows some of the pictures were taken off modeling websights et al.
Go to Thomas Lee's Deng Salon and he will show you his entire shelf of business education and management books-- come on-- if he was that good-- his salon would be as big as Kim Robinson's or Action Hair Salon or Fox Hair Salon.
Beware of giving details on your private life such as your boyfriend or girlfriend to Thomas.. he will spread it around Singapore in no time.
I would say Thomas and Kelly's work is acceptable but not excellent-- at their prices I would expect more.
My friend Sophie went to their salon before her prom date-- and had her hair messed up and damaged.
This embarassed me as I made the recommendation as Sophie was in a real hurry to locate a salon for her FIRST prom.

In Singapore, most consumers are well educated. I'm sure this type of basic knowledge even a 15 yr teenager know. Color like silver require a lot of bleaching work.
When we heard about promo for color, common sense tell us it involve only a 1 time application job.
At this offer price, it's value for money.
Just walk into any heartland mall & check out price different between a normal color & a silver color...
I'm sure those who ask for silver color themselve know the price different. just it's a typical kiasu singaporean take advantage of others. shameful.

I experienced the same thing! Waited for one whole hour to have somebody to come to 'inspect' my hair and to recommend the full price hair colouring and cut instead the $88 or so deal that I was I was going to get. I was then left alone for another half an hour before I left in a huff as no one could tell me when and if someone is going to work on my hair even after agreeing to the much much higher price! On hindsight, I'm very glad that I didn't persevere in waiting for Jonal Chong or his team to do anything to my hair! I feel bad for all those who have paid a premium price for a supposedly premium service. What a shame and doubly the shame for Jonal Chong who misled all, right from the very beginning! I'm quite sure that his team of stylists were probably misled regarding his credibility, too!
