Jet Direct Funding review: Loan Modification Scam 1

Jet Direct Funding contacted me a year ago with an offer to help in a loan modification. The person was very professional and convincing. The big selling point was that if they couldn't obtain the modification all but $500 of your up front investment would be refunded. Well, there was no time line on this obtainment of a modification and I missed that detail. Not once was it alluded to that this could take a year or more. Weeks would go by and I wouldn't hear a thing. I'd leave voice messages and not get a return call. When I finally did get ahold of someone they would tell me how close it was and I just needed to send in current pay stubs and bank statements. This happened multiple times. At one point I couldn't get anyone to call back for weeks and e-mails came back as undeliverable. I finally got a call from someone I hadn't dealt with before and was told that those people were no longer with the company. In July of this year I finally requested my money back and told them in an e-mail that I was going to file a complaint with the BBB, attorney general, and small claims court. That triggered another call, once again asking for pay stubs and bank statements, along with telling me how close they were. Twice, I received letters from my mortgage company telling me my request was denied which Jet Direct told me didn't mean anything and to ignore. Well, today I'm waiting for the bank to accept a short sale offer as I can no longer keep up with this. I again requested my refund from Jet Direct and was told that since I'm the one ending the effort the refund didn't apply. SO, in my case the scam appears to be.. let the case go on forever. Eventually, something in the debtors life will change that will require them to end the relationship and Jet Direct gets to keep the money. I would highly recommend you DO NOT send your money to these guys.
