Jay did not show up for a service appointment I made days prior and he confirmed. I cannot reccomend this person for pinball maintenance as a result. He has obviously overbooked himself and was flipant in reasoning why he did not come out. He basically told me to fix it myself. He was sure to tell me the cost of his services but provided none.

Resolved

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Jay Richardson is a reputable, professional and courteous individual. I have purchased a pinball from Jay, had him refurbish a relatively rare game and service both. He has always been more than fair to deal with. After reviewing "Geoffs" comments in regards to commenting on Jay's character I say, emphatically, that Geoff is completely off base and furthermore completely unwarranted in his criticism. Judging from the email thread provided if I were in Jay's position I would have been a lot less polite in responding to Geoff's request for servicing his pinball and told him to go "POUND SAND"!

There are 3 side to every story. Your side, my side, and then theirs the truth. Below is the original email thread sent to me from this person making the complaint when i was trying to confirm his appointment.
See how he talks to me. Who is the flippant one? I only deal with respectful and professional people.

Ya, I have a diploma in electronics, and I know a lot about this machine. I could spend two days trying to fix it but I have determined you will likely have a direct solution with your experience, so even try to pull the wool over or think you can overcharge me. Just come and fix it fast and cheep friend.

We don’t fix pinball’s “fast and cheap friend” We do the job right with the right parts. Sometimes it takes time depending on the problem.
If this is what you’re looking for in us coming out, then I am sorry we are not the company to fix your game. With your electronics diploma I’m sure you will figure it out.
