JATASHOP: BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS INTERNET RETAILER
I bought an expensive item from JataShop as a Christmas present for a family member who had seen the item on line. I looked at JataShop's website and was intrigued by their stated reasons why one should do business with them:
"Our Customer Service is Exceptional"
"We Only Sell Quality Home Decor Items"
"Hassle Free Return Policy"
In my opinion, the item received fell well short of the item description on the website. I contacted Mr. Jason Sims of JataShop and politely asked for information on how to return the product. He replied with two terse emails, the last stating that he would not except the return and that "this will be our last correspondence regarding this matter."
One should always take care with internet retailers and I am providing this public complaint to give fair warning about this specific retailer. My experience was horrible with both the product quality and the customer service that followed the sale.
Mr. Simms is incorrect. I did not lie about the product's quality nor did I say that the planter was made of plastic. I said that there was "plastic contact material" used in its construction and that it lacked the heft of iron. My email to Mr. Simms follows:
Jason,
I am disappointed to hear that you will not provide a refund for the item I purchased from you that I in turn gave to E. A.Hoffman as a Christmas gift. I did observe your return policy at the time of the purchase and in light of the holiday season and in keeping with other internet retailers I interpreted the purchase as "returnable". I believe that my interpetation was reasonable and to request special dispensation in advance seems, at best, out of the ordinary.
Moreover, the item description on your website makes no mention that the "Antique Silver Leaf" has been applied to an otherwise unattractive, brown plastic embossment nor does it mention (or show in the photograph) that the inside of the planter is gold, plastic contact material. The key words in your item description are Antique, Silver, Iron. I believe that the description is misleading in as much as the item is in fact without the heft and durability of iron and is a composite of silver leaf over brown and gold plastic contact material.
In consideration of the above, I would ask that you reconsider your decision and prvide instructions on how to return the item and secure a refund.

I stand by my description of this item and I continue to disagree that JataShop specializes in "quality products" and I certainly do not support their claim of "exceptional customer service" with "a hassle free return policy". My experience is that JataShop falls well short of all three claims.
Avoid.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I shop a lot on the Internet and dealing with Jatashop was the WORST experience ever!
For Internet buying, customer satisfaction and confidence is key. Based on the above comments, I have decided not to place a large order with Jata Shop. They should have refunded the money without question. My purchase alone would have been worth many times the value of the refund. Jata Shop needs to underatnd that there is competition out there and buyers have many options.
Jason Simms is a Complete ### and he and his wife are Complete Liar's. There busimess practices are a joke and the products are garbage. Avoid these people like the piles of garbage they are. Remember if you buy with a credit card you can dispute with the credit card company and you will get the money back and you dont even have to return the merchandise (Just say "Not As Advertised") and you get your monery back. Jata[censored] can do Nothing about it Ha Ha ###ers. Screw these ### that know nothing about business or how to treat people over. Jatashop Sucks. File complaints with the BBB and run theae ### out of business.
