I have ordered a max convertible sofa drom Istikbal furnitures on August 20th for $324.99 ($299.99+25.00). It was posted as an open order. I got an invoice for the order which I printed for my record. When checked the order status on Monday, I saw it was "open", so I called their customer care who assured I should wait for a few days as the guy who processes all the orders is on vacation. He assured me everything was fine with the order. I waited till Friday (August 26th) and called back. The customer care representative said their website is being updated and the shipping fee is $99, which I have to pay in order to get the sofa. When I told, I have the invoice and I should not be responsible for the price difference, she summarily cancelled the order.

Don't go there they just lie to you.

We went there to get a couch and chairs. There was one couch on a floor and representative (woman) told us that this is a floor sample (800$). So we said ok. And a piece was dismantled so she said this will be fixed and this is an assembly problem. Once they deliver it it will be installed properly.

So delivery guys when they came told us that this is a floor sample and it is 'as is'. we said that we dont buy broken furniture and we dont want that. They couldnt fix it and they took it away.

I'm calling the store and to get my 200$ deposit, the woman says that as a curtesy they can give us the credit store. I tried to explain to her that they have misinformed us and they need to get our many back. I asked for a manager, she said he is busy(of course) and I'm still waiting for that phone call.

In a nutshell, go to a more professional furniture store. At least you will be able to get your deposit back

You have to be careful with shady online stores and little no name stores. When you have something in writing such as an invoice, by law they have to honor it. You should take them to small claims and report them to BBB for bad business practice. They should double check their website before offering an item for sale.
