IOLO System Mechanic / US Tech Support review: System mechanic

This company is a real scam. I purchased a membership for $245 and I was guaranteed that if I was not happy I will get my money back. I had to fix an issue with my computer being slow. Right after I installed system mechanic, I called support and a tech person told me he needed to get in my computer. I stupidly allowed him. Once in it, he retrieved some stored id's and passwords, from google and tried to scared me telling me that hackers are trying to get in my computer to get these passwords. I immediately disconnected him and asked him what did that have to do with my problem. He tried to sell me more protection and more software, when I refused and asked him to tell me how I was going to fix my issue, he told me he was not a tech person and he will have someone call me back. They never did. I called to cancel the membership but I never got my money back.

I called support and after waiting for 90 minutes I got a person on the line who told me that the time to cancel had passed and that he sees I cancelled the membership but I had never requested a refund. I asked him that if it makes sense that I would cancel the membership and not get my money back and he told me, same crap, over and over with the same that he was sorry but the time for refund is over. I asked to speak to a manager and he told me he can arrange for a phone call, I told him that I have been told that 7 times before and that phone never comes and he said again, I am sorry, the time for refund is over. It is a complete scam, there is no support, no management they are all scammers and unfortunately, I hate to say it but they bring a bad name to honest Indian people. I have called 17 times and every time I waited 45 minutes or more and all 17 times I got an Indian person on the other side.

Also, mysteriously all emails from the time when I interacted with them are gone from my inbox. I truly thing they deleted. They got in my computer. I can't prove that but it is so weird that all emails are gone from my inbox, my deleted items and my junk email, just for 3 weeks worth of emails, exactly during the time I was interacting with them. 2 years prior and from December 12,2022 and on nothing was deleted, just last 2 weeks of November and first week of December 2022. DO NOT GET THESE SCAMMERS! YOU WILL REGRET IT.
