Innovair review: Did not honor warranty

Installed a 2 ton mini split June 2020. By Jan 2021 the bearings on the compressor were going out.

When I filed a warranty request they said the warranty was voided since I put an elbow in the suction line. Even though the unit has an elbow to exit the condenser, since I added one to prevent kinking the line (in a 90 degree turn) it caused the compressor bearings to fail.

After I installed it I had a local AC guy inspect it and he said it was installed correctly and to code. Innovair determined mine failed by looking at a video I took. They never had anyone look at it. I had to call about 6 times to have them finally tell me that they would not honor the warranty.

My advice is to go to a company that will honor their warranty, and avoid Innovair.
