In case you are not aware, restaurant.com regularly discount their "coupons" 80% - 90%. Check on slickdeal.net (not .com) and you will see them probably about once a month.

Listen I have to agree to all the negative feedback. If you’re good at sales which these people were... anyone will buy just about anything from good sales people. I'm sure you heard the old saying "He or she" is soo good he can sell anyone a bag of sh##?"

It’s up to you the consumer to be smart. I went to this IGlobe meeting the other night with my husband in the Iselin office and I have to agree I was entertained. Opening “Sales Pitch” was great – where would you like to go on your next vacation, followed by Power Point presentation showing a small room vs. a large suite and (for pennies) $499 to $599 a week, regardless of the amt of people? Sounds great right? A very smart ex-sales person. I also worked for people that did these types of meetings and I am ashamed that I had no clue that the people that I worked for were SCAMMERS. Those of you that work in places you may or may not have questions about why you can only do and say certain things and question why you are doing something that doesn’t make sense – you need to know that you work there and if it is a SCAM you will are also held accountable for scamming people. I had no idea of this until the FBI came barging in our office. I was young, naïve and never questioned why we opened an office in one location and shut down in another so quickly? This is how I entered into a “legit” sales industry.

But never the less, I chose not to buy from IGlobe. I wanted to do my research. I was told that I would see almost 100 bad comments. That was not what bothered me because there are a lot of unhappy people out there with different consumers for many reasons. What I wanted to do was research the company – which there is not one bit of information on the owner of the company, their mission statement- you know the normal stuff of which a company offers you as the consumer. Maybe a BBB seal? It’s interesting that’s all I have to say.

I think all of you out there - if you think it's too good to be true, it probably is. Be smart - don't spend major dollars on something you have not done research on. I can't say for sure that these people are scammers. But what I do know that we was promised two airline vouchers for free to travel anywhere within the US and a $100 gift card to a restaurant. The two airline vouchers cost $150 to activate. Which I was not going to risk paying a $150 to activate not knowing if it was legit, so in a nutshell these tickets are not free. The restaurant card did hold true. You go online and you can choose from a limited amount of restaurants from $25 to $100. Please read the fine print.

I asked for information on the company and they could not supply any – RED FLAG. But then again the SCAMMERS that I worked for had tons of literature so again. Just do your research. You wouldn’t buy a car without seeing it or driving it would you.

I asked for a copy of what we signed and the sales person (nice kid) said, “Sure”. However, it took him 8 minutes to make one copy of one piece of paper. Once we received the copy – I quickly noticed that he or someone removed the IGLOBE logo from the top of the page. Interesting….why would someone go to such lengths to do this? I will leave you up to answer that. So again – I can’t and won’t say for sure if it’s a SCAM nor do I care because I didn’t buy it. But for my friends out there and anyone else that is reading this – just be CAUTIOUS and don’t buy anything without doing the legwork.

The people that are commenting "POSITIVES" on this company are a joke! Come on we know you are the ones that are currently working there and you are the "Director" of the company posting these positives you would be a complete idiot to believe this bullcrap. You set up shop for a couple of months until we are on to you and then you close shop and go to a new area.

Ask Mr. Director to give you the HOME OFFICE address and phone number to a company that has been around for 15 years? You would think that they are stable. All I saw was a "Director" high on speed sweating and avoiding questions that were posed to him. How does one sleep at night? This could be your mother, father, wife, children that someone could be taking advantage of. Every dog has his day and at the end of the day you will answer to someone soon.

Don't get too comfortable because it will happen when you least expect it.

I just got off the phone with 'US Airlines" AKA IGlobe. It was a bit of a pushy phone call. The representative even asked me to book a time to meet today because she gets money for setting up the appointment. I asked her if she would be my representative in Washington DC if I were to book...but she informed me she wasn't even in that City! I got a weird vibe from this company! I call SCAM!

Received a very official looking mailer from this company informing me that I was "scheduled" to receive TWO ROUND-TRIP AIRFARES TO THE MAJOR CITY OF MY CHOICE..."

It told me to call [protected], So I did.

The first thing I asked, was which company this was. She informed me it was iglobe travel. She wanted to know the offer number I received so I told her a made-up number similar to the one in my mailer and was informed that I qualify!

Asked her what was involved in me receiving the offer and was told that I would need to come to one of their many locations and it would require 60 minutes of my time prior to receiving the tickets. Asked what the talk will be about and was told that they (iglobe) are a travel consultant company and that they would educate me on travel tips and how to save money. They would analyze my travel trends and consult with me on future trips. Was very clear in saying they were not a time-share.

I was then asked if I was married, single or dating. I answered married. Then asked was my combined household income below $50, 000. I answered YES. (Lie, and I suspect that these people target only high-income areas with these silly mailers). At that point, the "interview" was abruptly terminated and I was informed that she was very sorry but we did not qualify for the offer and did I know anyone who would do so? - they would be extended the same opportunity!

My husband and I were also scammed yesterday we went to iGlobe in Newtown, PA. We were taken for 5, ooo.oo to recieve this vacation package. On my way home I called to cancel, I was told I had to speak to John Akers, he never called me back. I am fighting them on this, I wish everyone the same luck.

ALL you on here dont understand that its a timely process to get your things back your to worried about complainning about were the letter came from and how much they want for vacations and blah blah blah. But the truth of the matter I went to the prentation and I know its a timely process to get my things back and I know I have to Pay my taxes and a processing fee.. but when people like ALL of you come on here and complian kinda makes people very sceptic. What if we googled your company that you work for or your favorite restraunt and even your cell phone provided I garentee we w0uld get the same out come of what we are getting on here. Because its a proven fact you CAN NOT please everybody.. This company I have no problem with what so ever.. Thank IGLOBE and sorry that there are such inconsidrate people in this world...

Very negotiable on the price, if your very organized with your travel plans and take week long vacations you might realize savings AFTER the "program" is paid for. Not sure if the airline tickets are free, they want $75 per person for taxes, and promise to refund any additional. The dinner is restaurant.com, you can save up to 50%, +18%gratuity added before savings applied, for dine in only. Its not a free dinner, just a discount. The program charges $287 a year for tax, which increases every year based on the cost of living index or 8% whichever is greater, closer lied about this and said it didnt go up last year. Thank god I gave them a maxed debit card nothing down and have bad credit already.

I went to the presentation on May 28, 2010. I didn't go for the plan. I don't know if it's good or not, but we don't vacation that often to consider it. The $100 dinner card can't be used at once. It is for restaurant.com. I plan to use it. I can use $25 of it, if I buy dinner for two and spend at least $35. My dinner for two can cost be as littler as $10 plus tax and tip. So it's not as good as you think, but not bad. I also received the plane trip for 2 voucher. I didn't do it cause they wouldn't charge it to a credit card.

I can see why people think they are offering a ticket on US Airways. The logo (a black and white US flag) in the promotion is virtually the same as US Airways. I am quite surprised that they have not initiated any action.

I always check a good deal offer on the web before calling the company. Fortunately, I came across website and got all of the information I need.

I did go to this presentation, hesitantly on May 16th. They were extremely disorganized and unprofessional. I wound up being there close to 2.5 hrs instead of 1 hr, as promised. At the end, they wanted 10K for a travel 'club' membership...no thanks. They mysteriously ran out of travel vouchers and I still have not received them in the mail, as they promised. I did receive a restaurant.com gift card, but only after calling a mysterious 706 area number that had called my work line and did not leave a msg (I recognized the area code from the initial calls trying to get me to attend). I spoke with a Bruce this morning from VNI (where my letter came from) and he said he would try to get it resolved, but explained that iGlobe is a sales agent for VNI.
Also, after the presentation, many people were worried about the legitimacy of the promotion, and we also found out that a couple talked iGlobe down to $1000 (from $10K?) - just sounds wierd and fishy to me. Also, everyone had a different form of 'invitiation' to this presentation. Anyway, if anyone is thinking of going, copy the letter that you receive, take notes, get names, business cards (if you can)...I just don't think this is very kosher and I'll be surprised if I actually get my travel vouchers.

I made an appointment for this Friday to go see their presentation in Newtown, PA. Looks like I wont be attending. Thank you everyone for their input on this. I thought it was too good to be true. I oughta go to the presentation and give them a hard time and make eveyone attending LEAVE! Also, they have two phone numbers associated with them: [protected] and [protected].

IGlobe/Vacation Networks, Inc. NOT WORTH YOUR TIME...We just got back from an IGlobe presentation in Iselin, NJ. Nice rented office space, but anyone can rent office space and put up travel posters from the 1980s (and play island music on a TINY cd player, they probably spent 19.99 at Walmart). Just google Vacation Networks, Inc. and you'll get ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW. The free airline tickets will cost you 75 bucks each for redeemable vouchers and people online say that the vouchers dont work. All in all, an hours worth of our time for a good laugh. Definitely a scam. I feel bad for the Indian couple behind us (who said their dream vacation was to go to India) who sounded like they were gonna fall for it.

Just received the promotion for two roundtrip tickets from US Airlines, with the $100 gift card.
I was asked to attend a meeting about IGlobe in Newtown, PA this Tuesday at 4pm. It's tempting to go, but this seems too good to be true.
Any advice out there from anyone that actually went to the presentation!?

It sounds like you are bashing the company without even attending the 60min mandatory presentation (it says so at the back) Did they not give the $100 dining voucher as promised. Did they not give the airline vouchers (it says FLY A US AIRLINE not US AIRWAYS - read it) after you attended the 60min presentation

IGLOBE is a scam..Don't fall for this! We unfortunately did. Thanks goodness we were able to at least get them to come down on their upfront fee to 1750; we at least can get 875 back...We'd rather give up 875 than 1724 + the annual fee of 287...Please don't sign up! I just called the 800# and a very nice woman tried to get me to bring my drivers license and a major credit card to the presentation for identification. When I told her I use my drivers license and passport for identification she said that they only accept a credit card as a secondary form of identification. She then went on to say that I could hold the card in my hand and cover up all the numbers while they looked at it because they only had to see my name. I then told her that if all she wanted was something with my name on it I could show her my social security card or my Government Photo ID. She then hung up on me.

Can you say SCAM.

I received a letter today from IGlobeTravel 41 University Dr. STE 400 in Newtown, PA 18940 but noticed the postmark on the mail was from West Palm Beach, FL. I will not be calling the phone number but wanted to provide the most recent address used by this company. I have no direct contact with this organization but I can't help but believe this is a scam and hope others avoid it is as well!

I just got the same offer in the mail (very official looking black & white envelope). I was told over the telephone that I should bring my driver license and a credit card as a second form of identification. I didn't like the sound of that. They wanted couples to attend a one hour presentation on either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday at either 4pm, 6pm or 8pm. It didn't smell right with potential waste of time written all over it. Further, I just had an encounter with another group (called "Act") trying to get me to buy high-priced talent training for my child with the lure of potential Hollywood stardom after being screened with a scout, who is a relative of a well-known producer. I decided not to attend IGlobe's presentation but thanks for the postings.

went to the same sales promo today...never expecting someone would expect you to spend $10K on a credit card plus $299 membership, $287 annual dues and then another $499 or $699 to take a week vacation... what a scam is right...nice sales presentation but do the math, how many weeks to you need to travel, stay in a resort /condo for a week to get the initial outlay to make this wothwhile.. way too much money to belong to a "club" ...

Received the same letter stating because of my birthday I would receive 2 airfare. NO the letter did not say free, nor did the person on the phone when I called to drill the crap out of them. The letter tells you that you have to pay the taxes and fees. If you received a letter then take a recorder, they sale vacations based on the thought that the person who buys will actually use them 2-3 times a year. Just like everything you have to follow the rules. It is not for me, I didn't like it, but saying things like if I sign up immediately you can receive a $100 dining gift card. When you call, they don't ask you to sign, spend any money or commit to anything, so, Huh? Yes, scam comes up when you put in their name because of people claiming the FREE airafare is not FREE, when it was never promised to be FREE. I did the research(Asking Questions, not making claims based just on what I want to say) to find out how they knew who I was, and why mail to me. The answer was very generic "a database". So, I asked to speak to the manager and found out that they pay for Qualified names. To them they consider someone who makes $50, 000 a year and someone who has good credit, qualified and they will get both gifts mentioned if they come in for an hour sales pitch. The only way you would not get the gifts is if you don't come in to the office. The last thing is if you go in and you do like it and want to purchase something, use your credit card(not debit card), they will protect you in the event the company is not legit because it is a service they sale(you have to have a good credit cardAMEX, MC platinum, not Plaaatnem!, and not the pre-paid kind, let's be real, if you have a pre-paid credit card then it is you who has screwed people out of money and now you have bad credit and have to buy pre-paid credit cards because no one will give you one). One last thing, since they sale a service, their has to be a contract! If you purchase read the contract. If you read the contract and then say they lied to you after you leave then shame on you for not paying attention. Don't forget you just met these people, no matter how charming, pay attention. The owner and all of the employees of the company are in business to stay there. A sales person is trying to make money off of you, so, pay attention, the contract is their for your protection against human nature(path of least resistance, EX. yes you can, when no you can't, no one likes saying no for the fear of not getting the sale).
