Well, I was an employee in the head office in Melbourne for 14 years, and I have to say that the place was very family friendly. Once management got to know you they didn't seem to be too much against your working from home, as long as you weren't exploiting the privilege. I got to do it for a whole year, after working there for a decade. In a company that size any decent manager would know which ones of the staff are trustworthy. It's possible that attitudes amongst managers have changed since I left though. By the way, I was notified of this debate by Headberry, who called me yesterday very concerned that someone was using his name.

Hi, For the record this is the real P. Headberry, I did not make this post, and disagree with the comments, i spent 7-8 happy years at IBIS and found that they area very family supportive company. This post is mostly likely from a disgruntled ex-employee that we have had issues with in the past. I will be contacting my friends at ibisworld to inform them of this post and have it removed at the earliest possibility. I will also start proceedings to collect information of the original poster.

That's not entirely true, Peter. Numerous staff, both entry level and managerial, have been offered flexible work arrangements due to children. I know WB didn't like that MV got the boot, and JR did bungle it, but I thought that the rationale (if not the execution) was sound. As a former employee, I have no particular obligation to anything other than balanced thought. How've you been, anyway? Haven't heard from you in a while!
