We agreed to buy a male ragdoll kitten from Matthew or Matt Hess. We put down a refund. Close to the time, he said it turned out to be a female, was that ok? We said no. He said a male would be ready one week later after its last shots. We said ok. He wanted to have someone else meet us in an IGA parking lot. Ashley showed up transporting the cat with no cat carrier. He said the birthday was 6/3, but the records said a different date. The cat was missing a rabies shot from the records. The cat was not socialized properly. It went pee sporadically on our bed, a blanket on our couch twice, and the couch. Squatted down and full out peed if we weren't paying attention or it was hyper. It runs crazily around house. It runs after us to attack our feet. Matt said he would take it back for a refund. However, we wanted to try fixing it first as a last resort. He then disappeared off Facebook where we were communicating. We tried reaching out other ways. He finally talked to my husband and said he would not refund and hung up on my husband. This whole situation has been traumatic. We have had a ragdoll kitten before and never had such an experience.

Kristin is correct about me having a Ragdoll available and then putting a deposit down and then me finding out it was a female. I had a male available that was similar to the one they originally wanted that ended up being a female. After having the kitten for several weeks she complained that the kitten was urinating outside the litter box. I asked if they had taken it to the vet, they didn’t. I explained it could have something as simple as a Urinary Tract Infection. I asked her to bring the kitten back and I would refund their money back. i insisted that they bring the kitten back and I would give a refund. All that took place on September 11th. I never heard back from them until October 10th, I received a call from her husband, Kevin. I asked what was going on and he explained that the kitten wasn’t acting like a normal kitten, he never went into detail other than that the kitten was urinating in different areas, other than the litter box. I asked if they ever took him to the vet and they did but to neuter the kitten. I told him I would take the kitten back but I am no longer refunding their money. First, they neutered a very young kitten and I tried to get them to bring him back over a month ago and they obviously didn’t want to. I asked Kevin to reach out to discuss it with other breeders but he felt like he didn’t need to since I was the breeder. I discussed it with other breeders and they said they would do the same thing as I decided to do. They were also upset that I had someone else bring the kitten to them and the kitten wasn’t in a crate, not sure where that was out of line other than them drawing for straws. I was out of town and I explained that, so I couldn’t meet them. Kevin kept insisting that I had one option, that I was to drive to them and to give their money back and pick the kitten up. I told him that I was no longer going to listen to his anger and for him to have a good day, and to lose my number, I proceeded to hang up. Why didn’t they bring the kitten back when they had that option, I didn’t understand? They had my number, obviously, he called me, so why wait a month? Also, why was the kitten neutered at such a young age? His birthday is June 3rd of 2022, the date was different on the vaccination records because that’s when he was vaccinated.
