So, check it out, right? I got this sweet '65 Mustang that my old man bought back in '65, and it's been in our fam ever since. But let me tell ya, this baby was drivin' like it was stuck in the past, man. So, me and my boy decided to take it down to Al and the crew at Hardcore Hot Rods to give it a serious upgrade, you know what I'm sayin'?

These guys, they really know their stuff, man. They took that old 289 engine and bored it out, pumpin' up the horsepower from a measly 180 to a mind-blowin' 425, bro! But that ain't all, man. They had to do a whole bunch of other upgrades too, like power steering, fuel injection, brakes, transmission, rear frame mods, and even some sick new wheels. And hey, I couldn't resist gettin' the paint touched up while they were at it, you know?

So, I finally got my baby back a couple of weeks ago, and let me tell ya, it's like a whole new ride, man. She still looks like a classic '65 beauty, but now she drives like a freakin' 2022 beast, you dig? I mean, this thing is more like a modern race car than anything else, bro. It's insane!

I gotta give props to Al and his crew, man. These guys are total pros, no doubt about it. They did an amazing job, and I couldn't be happier with the work they put in. Seriously, worth every freakin' penny, man. And you know what? I'm already plannin' on takin' her back in a few months to get the interior restored, 'cause why not, right?

I took my 79 Triumph Spitfire to Hardcore Hot Rods all the way from my folks' farm in Illinois. Let me tell ya, it was a smart move. I'm tellin' ya, I couldn't be happier with the work they did on my ride. It was a real intricate job, took 'em a good amount of time, but dang, was it worth it. That car had been sittin' in my old man's garage for ages, collectin' dust and rust. But Al and his crew, they worked their magic and got my Triumph runnin' like it did back when I was a young buck of 16.

Al and Jim, that's Al's manager, they didn't just do the work and call it a day. Nah, they took the time to explain every single step of the process to me. They went above and beyond, makin' sure they delivered on their promises. And get this, they even made sure to keep those sentimental stickers on the car. That's attention to detail right there, my friends. They even went the extra mile and slapped on a brand spankin' new carburetor all the way from Germany. Can you believe it?

But it ain't just the fancy stuff that impressed me. They also took care of the underside of the Spitfire, givin' it a complete restoration. And let me tell ya, they didn't rush through it. They took their time, answerin' all my questions along the way. I gotta say, their patience and thoughtfulness were top-notch. I couldn't have asked for better service, no sir.

Now, let me tell ya somethin' about Al and his crew. These fellas, they're honest as the day is long. They treated me with respect from start to finish. I gotta give 'em props for that. After my husband took his ride to Hardcore Hot Rods for a total pro re-paint, I thought, "Hey, why not spruce up my 2012 Nissan Murano too? It's got some pesky chips and scratches that need fixing." Since my car was pretty new and hadn't been in any accidents, we figured it'd be a piece of cake for these so-called pros. So off I went to Hardcore Hot Rods, but now I realize we made a big mistake by not checking out the quality of work they did on my hubby's wheels. Boy, did we pay for that blunder, while the owner of Hardcore Hot Rods laughed all the way to the bank.

When I arrived at Hardcore Hot Rods, this young dude at the front desk came out with me to inspect my Murano for those annoying chips and scratches. We walked around the car, and I pointed out all the blemishes while he snapped some pics. Once we finished that little dance, they said they'd give us an estimate after the owner checked out the pictures. But guess what? We never heard back from them, even after bombarding them with phone calls and emails. So we decided to pay them a visit, and guess what again? They told us it'd cost a whopping $1,150 to fix all those chips and scratches. Remember, we did a thorough 360-degree inspection, and their rep even took pictures!

After leaving my Murano with Hardcore Hot Rods for two long weeks, we finally got it back. But when we picked it up, surprise, surprise, the owner was nowhere to be found to discuss the issues we immediately noticed. We inspected the car and realized that all the big chips, scratches, and whatnot on the rear were still there, along with some marks on the side. Days later, we confronted the owner about this, and you won't believe his excuse. He said he only estimated to fix the tiny, barely visible marks on the front and not the rest. What the heck? Who in their right mind would pay $1,150 to touch up some barely noticeable scratches on the front and leave the ones on the sides and rear untouched? We showed them all the problems, and their rep even took pictures. How can they justify this unless they were just trying to take advantage of us?

Finally, after some heated arguments, the owner agreed to finish the job as it was originally promised during the inspection. So we inconveniently dropped off the Murano again, expecting a two-day project. But guess what? Four days later, we hadn't heard a peep from Hardcore Hot Rods, and our chances of using our car for the weekend were slim to none. In the end, that supposed two-day turnaround turned into a five-day ordeal, with no updates whatsoever (not even on our home voicemail or cell phones).

I got my Murano back from Hardcore Hot Rods once more, and guess what? Yep, you guessed it. There are still plenty of visible scratches and chips. I shelled out $1,150, and I STILL have a car with scratches and chips. So what the heck did I pay for? If they can't do a complete job, they shouldn't be bragging about their so-called quality work. It's crystal clear that customer satisfaction means zilch to Hardcore Hot Rods. All they care about is lining the owner's pockets while giving customers a shoddy product.

So, folks, think long and hard before you take your wheels to Hardcore Hot Rods for any paint repairs. Check out Fairfax County publications for recommended shops or use AngiesList to find places with zero issues. I'll also be submitting copies of this review to various agencies and organizations, so potential customers can see what they're getting into.
