Gold Medal Services review: Requested a fee to advise my hot water heater required replacement

I am a Senior citizen on a fixed income. On October 14,2022, my hot water heater failed and I conducted an internet search for vendors servicing my area. I arranged for an appointment via their web page. A Gold Medal tech came to examine the hot water heater. He barely examined our Hot Water heater and shamefully asked us to pay him a fee of $ 126.00 fee for advising the unit had to be replaced (Which I already knew) which would be waived if I contracted with them to replace the unit. I advised that I was seeking other quotes and depending on the price I would be in touch. Suffice to say they were the most expensive of all estimates and I did not use them. There is no indication on their web page that this fee would be charged. Please do not seek their advice. They charge exorbitant top dollars and delivered Zero service. Their advice will cost you $126.00
