GEICO - Auto Insurance

Just received our renewal for six months. We have been with Geico since the 80's. The 15% credit for pademic was not there and we had a $60 increase in our bill. When I called I was told the increase was across the board due to increase in auto prices, increase in parts, and increase in medical cost. I was also told our bill went out before the 15% was listed. It would be done automatically. I think an increase in the middle of a pandemic is totally uncalled for and I also think the 15% credit is a fraud and misleading advertising. It's not 15% when you raise the rates before this applied. The company and I quote said, "As a part of Geico's ongoing efforts to assist customers during this unprecedented time we are announcing the Geico Giveback which provides a 15 % credit." You raise the cost and then do a credit. Something is wrong. By the way we are in our 70's. Both vehicles are 2017 with one having 3000 miles on it and the other with 30, 000+ miles. We have had no accidents and no tickets. I was told all the discounts we are eligible for had been applied.
I am disappointed in Geico. At one time we had 5 cars with 3 teenage drivers. Geico had always been good to us until now. This is sad and even more so in the middle of a pandemic.

GEICO - Claims for insurance

On September 28, 2018, I, Tanakia Hunter, was involved in a motor vehicle accident. I began to suffer pain from my injuries and learned that I would need to pay for treatment sought to maintain recovery from the above aforementioned sustained injuries. I initially retained an attorney and upon learning of his dishonesty attempted to sever our relationship. He did agree and formally discontinued representation with no contingency agreement as previously agreed when he was retained. However upon attempting to reach a settlement on the record none was reached due to breach of contract on behalf of Geico by Ms. Brittany King, we confirmed that due to the breach there was no settlement in place. She agreed. I have yet to be compensated. I received a check for $1500, $340, and $3663.41. I was not compensated for the hospital emergency room as initially agreed upon in the amount of $2199 as submitted. Please assist as I am ready to sue due to breach of contract and not being properly compensated. Instead Ms. King attached a note to my file suggesting that I had an attorney to avoid compensating me or allowing to speak to a representative. I have been grossly mishandled and would like to be treated fairly with good faith practice on behalf of Geico. Please contact me at [protected] for further information. Thank you. I have all documentation and/or recordings to prove that this is a legitimate, and accurate allegation/complaint. Please let me know who I need to contact. I did not know whether a law suit or the Alabama department of insurance would be a better choice for assistance. I initially submitted a claim for payment of all my hospital bills according to Alabama state law, my ambulance bill, physicians bill, radiology bill, and the chiropractic bill where I actually did receive treatment. I was told that payments were made to these companies and then the payments were sent to me instead, however. I have yet to receive the payments claimed to be forwarded to me after several unfair debates. Geico has not upheld their agreement to date.

GEICO - terrible service!

Warning! Do not insure with geico! I have been insured with gieco since 1999. During that time, I have paid thousands of dollars to them, and they have never had to pay on a claim.in november, I was married, and chose to place my husband on my policy. Because he was ticketed for driving uninsured in 2005 (He did not realize the policy had lapsed), we had to have sr-22 (He was not in an accident - he simply received a ticket). The underwriting company carefully checked our driving history (They have to do this with any sr-22 policy) and after seeing our driving record felt there was no risk, and in turn offered us a policy. I paid the premium (Over $900).

In december, my husband accidentally backed into my car while it was parked in the driveway. We had the car inspected, but chose not to file a claim with geico, and instead chose to pay for the repairs out of pocket. Long story short, we are set to renew in may, and I just received a letter stating that they cannot reinsure me.

I have been with this company for 9 years, and they have never had to pay out one dime for anything!

Here is the problem I have. The underwriters had no problem taking my $900 in november, but now after one accident (In which they did not even have to pay), they have opted to drop a loyal customer of 9 years. I feel that it is important to let my friends and family know that this company is not what they make themselves out to be. You guys know me, and you know that I am an honest person. I will be insuring with the company I was with prior to geico, but I do not want my friends to be a victim of this company as I have been. If you are with geico, remember that one accident is all it takes for them to drop you... No matter how loyal you have been!

Hmm there is something you're not telling us. In all my years at Geico we would not drop someone over one accident unless they were a major risk. What you've told us sounds exactly like what the other person just said.

so basically, what you're saying is that your new husband was irresponsible in the past and failed to make his pmt on time which resulted in a cancellation of his prior ins. co...(since he didnt know it was cancelled, even though im sure the company sent a bill) when driving he got pulled over and got caught for driving w/ no ins (dangerous and financially could ruin your life depending on the type of accident, damages, and bodily injury he could have caused to the people/ peoples involved). so of course the state dmv requires him to file a sr22 for that since im assuming driving w/out ins, his car got towed and his lic suspended. so then you say he wasnt paying attention and backed into another car (and unfortunatly in some states, even if an ins co. doesnt pay out it still effects your premium) showing more irresponsibilty for himself. but if thats ALL that happened as far as both you and ur husbands driving activity, i bet geico oferred you another premium taking these risks into consideration BEFORE the policy was dropped. moral of the story: stay on top of your game.
