Two weeks ago we ordered a futon for our son 12yrs old from the futon store a gatelys store. We were charged immediately the full amount and when we tried to check the status over the past two weeks, no one has answered our emails or calls. When you try to leave a message, the box is full. I cannot believe how these people run that business, I will do everything I can to throw these guys under the bus and protect other customers. DO NOT consider this store or any member of "Gately's family" unbelievable rip off. I hope every wing of this "family of stores" goes under.

We ordered a chair and ottoman from Gately's store on October 9, 2007 and received an order confirmation. Our credit card was charged on the same day. I sent numerous e-mails to them and received no responses. I was able to contact them on the phone and was advised that the item was on back order and would ship on the first week in November. I have since tried to contact them several times via e-mail and have received no response. Their web site is also down "for an upgrade" After reading several posts on them I think I got scammed.

Watch out for this store TRES JOLIE in Beverley Hills. The owner Glenda Lugay PRETENDS to be this wonderful awesome mother etc. But, she scams designers by taking their products, using them, pretending to send them to magazines etc. I would avoid Tres Jolie Boutique online as well. I"m writing this on behalf of my friend who is a designer and suffered a huge loss and countless sleepless nights over the woman Glenda Lugay.

I wanted to add...since the company is based in Colorado, can't the Colorado police be notified? Isn't this a form of theft? Perhaps if the police were contacted by all of the people who have been victimized by this company, there would be some sort of required restitution?

We had the exact same problem with this company. We ordered a futon for $425.00 in August 07. It was to be delivered in September. When it wasn't delivered, we called and were told that it was backordered. We asked for a refund, as our debit card had already been charged for the full amount. We were told we would receive the refund in ten days. When ten days passed, we still did not receive a refund. We called the customer service number and received repeated messages that they were having phone problems. Finally, we reported the problem to the Better Business Bureau. The Better Business Bureau investigated, sending two different letters to the business. No response was received, and we were told by the Better Business Bureau that the complaint against the company would be listed by then.

To this day, we still have not received a refund of our money.

i bought a futon at futonsstore.com and Gateley's took my money the same day
after 2 weeks waiting for a confirmation shipping number, i called them and their phones dont work!
i send emails and nothing
i am so upset, i am disputing the charges with BofA, and i hope they get sued because they are a threat to e-commerce.
i buy a lot of stuff online., and after this episode, i'm scared to keep doing it.
they should all go to jail for scam and fraud.
i am so upset about this.
the bank credited me the money already and Bank of America has gateley's under investigation.

I too have been scammed by "Gately's Family Stores" I ordered a bed in Aug. from "bedroomking.com" I was told it was on back order with an expected shipping date the first part of Sept. that is the last I have heard. The money has been taken out of my acct. I have called and get a recording that says they are having "phone issues" I also called several of their stores all with different numbers and get the same recording.
We have a news investigating reporter in our area. He does stories on companys like this. I have E-mailed him and am hoping he will look into this. If so i will post it here so all of you will know and maybe get some satisfaction.

If you purchased from any of the Gately's Family of Stores, which includes FutonsStore.com, Sleek Spaces, and MANY MORE... Please file a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau. Go to bbb.org, the company is listed as Gatelys.

This company has had 230 complaints filed in the last 36 months. They have also filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Sept 17, 2007.

Additionally, file a dispute with your bank or credit card lender against Gately's.

Let's all do what we can to put pressure on this fraudulent company.

Fraud! This "company" is full of it. Do not order from them. There are several credible on line places to buy from. I have experienced the same neglect as everyone here. Fraud is a serious charge (felony). I hope they get multiple counts. I have bank of america on it. I hope no one has to go through this.

I wish I had know this when I ordered a futon in June. After months of "backordered" and "shipping any day now" responses, I asked for my money back. That was 3 weeks ago and I still do not have a refund. Great suggestion to call my credit card company ~ thank you for that.

I hope this company will be held accountable. Any suggestions on where to file a complaint?

This is absolutely the WORST company that I have ever dealt with in my entire carrier. I own an Interior Design firm called Style On a Shoestring and we have literally ordered thousands of pieces of retail merchandise from vendors across the country. Currently this company has two outstanding orders gone unshipped while charging our company card in full. My staff and I have experienced the same long phone wait times (up to one hour), full mail boxes, unanswered e-mails, etc. We have spent countless time and equal energy on these issues. We have angry clients that want their merchandise and we are angry too! I have contacted legal council and am moving forward with necessary action to get resolution.

I ordered an upright, stationary bike from Home Fitness Club, a member of the Gately's Family of Stores. I did not receive it. After three weeks, I called and a very pleasant woman replaced the order and gave me a new order number. Now, like others, I am encountering full voice mailboxes. I am angry over this and will also be contacting my credit card company. As the host of a popular radio broadcast (worldwide via the web) I am going to use my bully pulpit to let those listening know what this "Family of Stores" is doing to their customer base.

We ordered a table from their "Design Dining" store over a month and a half ago. They charged our card immediately and we haven't received anything. I have experienced the same thing...no response to numerous emails, inability to get past their voice mail,etc. I did call Visa and they credited my card back with the amount we had spent ($480.00). Visa said this should get a response one way or the other from them. I suggest you contact your credit card company ASAP.

I ordered a futon from this company on 8-15-07. They said it would be shipped between 8/22 and 8/25. After I never heard anything, I tried calling. They could never tell me if it had been shipped or when. Now they won't answer their phone. Their mailbox is full of messages. I have left lots of messages, and never get a call back. I have also left numerous e-mails. They are a SCAM and I am MAD. I hope they get in major trouble over this - I want my money back! Now I see someone else has posted a complaint. I'm sure that there are loads of mad customers.
